The top half retains the original photo's subject, structure, and texture with artistic magazine-like color grading. The bottom half extracts the most recognizable subjects and silhouettes, reconstructing them into a Naïve folk-inspired narrative illustration. Forms are simplified silhouettes and large primitive blocks. Texture uses crayons, oil pastels, and thick pencils with grain and paper-through effects. Outlines have a handcrafted, clumsy feel. The color scheme is a limited palette on warm white paper. Overall visual temperament: naive silhouettes, flat space, crayon grains, restrictive colors, and folk art symbols.
