AI Music Video Generator: Turn a Song into a Video Cut on the Beat
The VdoBloom AI music video generator turns a song into a finished music video. Upload your own track or generate one, add one character (a photo, a generated portrait or a short description), pick one of nine visual styles, and the tool measures the tempo, finds every beat, plans one shot per musical phrase and films each shot with ByteDance Seedance. Every cut lands on a beat, your song is laid under the whole video, and lyric captions can be burned in.
Is it free? Planning is free: song analysis, the beat-synced shot plan and every edit you make to it cost nothing. The paid steps are the shots themselves (priced like a normal Seedance clip), a 10-credit build fee, and the song or portrait if you ask the tool to make them. New accounts get 10 free credits, enough to generate a song or a portrait and see the plan for your track; a full video needs more. Example: a 30-second song cut into six 5-second shots on Seedance 2 Mini at 480p costs 58 credits. It is made for independent musicians, producers, AI-music creators and channels that need a vertical teaser or a full-length visual for every release.

A song turned into beat-cut performance shots with lyric captions
How it works
- 1
Make or upload the song
Upload an mp3, wav or m4a up to 25 MB and choose which 10 to 60 seconds to use, or describe a genre and mood (with optional lyrics, or instrumental) and generate a track with ACE-Step or MiniMax Music 2.6.
- 2
Add one character
Upload a photo of the performer, generate a portrait from a description, or just describe the character in words. The same character is used in every shot.
- 3
Pick the look and format
Choose a style such as Cinematic, Anime, City Pop, Neon Noir or Lo-fi VHS, then 9:16 vertical or 16:9 landscape, a Seedance model and a resolution.
- 4
Review the beat-synced shot plan
See the BPM, the song sections and one shot per phrase, each with a camera move and an action. Edit any shot, merge two, or change their order for free. The full price is shown before anything is generated.
- 5
Generate the shots
Each shot is filmed with your character. Watch them arrive, and regenerate any shot you do not like at that one shot's price.
- 6
Build and download
The build trims every shot to the frame so the cuts sit on the beat, adds your song, burns in lyric captions if you turned them on, and saves the MP4 to My Creations.
Why use this tool
Cuts placed on real beats
The song is analyzed before any video exists: tempo, beat times and energy sections. Every cut in the plan sits on a detected beat, and each shot is trimmed to an exact frame count at build time, so the video is exactly as long as the song.
One character, every shot
Your photo or generated portrait is passed to Seedance as the identity reference for every shot, and a fixed character description is repeated in every shot prompt, so the face, hair and outfit stay the same through the video.
Song included, or bring your own
Generate an original track inside the same flow, with lyrics or instrumental, or upload a finished master. Either way the song is the timeline the video is built on.
A plan you can edit for free
The shot list is a draft, not a black box. Rewrite a shot's action, merge two short shots or reorder them before you spend a credit, and see the exact total update.
Nine looks, two shapes
Cinematic, Anime, Dark Fantasy, City Pop, Neon Noir, Golden Hour, Lo-fi VHS, 3D Animation and Kids / Nursery Rhyme, each in 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts or 16:9 for YouTube.
Failed shots refunded
Every paid step is held as an open charge until it is delivered. A shot that fails is refunded on its own, so a single bad render never costs you the whole video.
What does the AI music video generator make?
One MP4 music video, 10 to 60 seconds long, made from up to 20 beat-snapped shots of the same character, with your song as the soundtrack. The planner keeps each shot at 10 seconds or less and at least as long as the chosen model's shortest clip, and gives quiet sections slower moves and loud sections more energy.
- Length: the 10–60 second window you pick from your song, or the full generated track
- Shots: up to 20, each starting and ending on a detected beat
- Shape: 9:16 vertical or 16:9 landscape
- Resolution: 480p, 720p or 1080p, depending on the model
- Audio: your song, muxed under the whole edit
- Lyric captions: optional, burned in bottom-centre and timed to the sung words
Which Seedance model should you use?
Four Seedance models are offered. The price of a shot is the model's own clip price at that length and resolution, the same as on the Seedance tabs. A common pattern is to check the plan and the look on Seedance 2 Mini, then build the version you publish on Seedance 2 Fast or Seedance 2.
| Model | Resolutions | 5-second shot (480p) | 5-second shot (720p) | 5-second shot (1080p) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2 Mini | 480p, 720p | 8 credits | 17 credits | — |
| Seedance 2 Fast (default) | 480p, 720p | 24 credits | 50 credits | — |
| Seedance 2 | 480p, 720p, 1080p | 38 credits | 82 credits | 204 credits |
| Seedance 2.5 | 480p, 720p, 1080p | 56 credits | 126 credits | 316 credits |

How much does an AI music video cost?
Add up the shots, then add the 10-credit build fee (it covers the trim, the beat-accurate cut, the song mix and lyric transcription). A generated song adds 6 credits on ACE-Step or 12 on MiniMax Music 2.6, and a generated portrait adds 3. The plan screen shows the exact total for your song before you confirm. These examples use a 30-second song cut into six 5-second shots with your own uploaded song and photo:
| Model and resolution | Six shots | Build fee | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2 Mini, 480p | 48 credits | 10 credits | 58 credits |
| Seedance 2 Mini, 720p | 102 credits | 10 credits | 112 credits |
| Seedance 2 Fast, 720p | 300 credits | 10 credits | 310 credits |
| Seedance 2, 720p | 492 credits | 10 credits | 502 credits |

Is the AI music video generator free?
Partly. Uploading a song, the beat analysis, the shot plan and every edit to it are free, so you can see exactly how your track would be cut and what it would cost without paying. New accounts get 10 free credits, which covers a generated song (6 credits) or a generated portrait (3 credits) but not the shots of a full video. For the shots, the Lite pack is 300 credits for $19.50 one-time (or $15 a month); one-time credits never expire, while subscription credits reset each billing cycle.
Nine visual styles and what they suit
Each style sets the look line that opens every shot prompt. The realistic styles also switch on a handheld camera language, which reads as real footage; the animated styles skip it.
- Cinematic: anamorphic 35mm, shallow focus, teal-and-amber grade, for pop, R&B and ballads
- Anime: clean line art and cel shading, for J-pop, anime openings and lo-fi
- Dark Fantasy: smoke, ash and ember haze, for metal, cinematic and epic tracks
- City Pop: soft pastel neon and night city lights, for synth-pop and retro tracks
- Neon Noir: magenta and cyan reflections on wet streets, for electronic, trap and dark pop
- Golden Hour: low sun, lens flares, wind in hair, for indie, folk and acoustic songs
- Lo-fi VHS: camcorder texture and washed colours, for bedroom pop and lo-fi beats
- 3D Animation: stylized feature-film 3D, for kids' songs, comedy tracks and mascots
- Kids / Nursery Rhyme: bright, rounded, gentle sing-along movement, for preschool channels
Use cases
The tool is built for short, repeatable release visuals rather than one-off experiments.
- A vertical teaser for TikTok, Reels and Shorts ahead of a release
- A 16:9 video for a YouTube upload of an AI-generated or independent song
- A lyric video, with captions timed to the sung words
- A visual for every track on a lo-fi, ambient or nursery-rhyme channel
- A performance-style clip of a virtual artist or mascot, kept consistent across releases
Tips for better music videos
- Pick the 10–60 second window around your hook or chorus. It is the part people share.
- Use a sharp, front-facing photo with even light; sunglasses and hard backlight cost likeness.
- Describe the character's outfit in words too, so the fixed description backs up the photo.
- Merge very short shots in the plan if the song is slow; let fast sections keep their quick cuts.
- Draft on Seedance 2 Mini at 480p, then rebuild the version you publish at 720p.
- Only upload music you have the rights to use.
Limits: what it does not do
Knowing the limits saves credits. The shots are performance and mood footage: the shot prompts tell the model not to talk or lip-sync, so the character does not sing the words on screen. One video uses one anchor character. A single video covers at most 60 seconds of a song, so a full-length track is made as several videos. Square 1:1 output is not offered, and the planner does not write shots longer than 10 seconds.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI music video generator?
It is a tool that takes a song and produces a matching video automatically. On VdoBloom the song is analyzed first (tempo, beats and energy sections), the AI writes one shot per musical phrase, Seedance films each shot with your character, and the build cuts the shots on the beat and lays your song underneath.
How does the video stay in sync with the music?
Every cut in the plan sits on a detected beat. At build time each shot is trimmed to an exact frame count, so the cuts land within half a frame of the beat and the finished video is exactly as long as the song window you chose.
Can I use my own song, including a Suno track?
Yes. Upload an mp3, wav or m4a up to 25 MB, from any source you have the rights to use, and pick a 10 to 60 second window. You can also generate an original track inside the tool, with your own lyrics or as an instrumental.
Is the AI music video generator free?
Planning is free: the beat analysis, the shot plan and all edits cost nothing, and you see the full price before generating. The shots, a 10-credit build fee and any generated song or portrait are paid. The 10 free credits on a new account cover a song or a portrait, not a whole video.
How much does a 30-second music video cost?
It depends on the model and resolution. With your own song and photo, six 5-second shots plus the build fee come to 58 credits on Seedance 2 Mini at 480p, 112 on Seedance 2 Mini at 720p and 310 on Seedance 2 Fast at 720p. The plan shows the exact figure for your song.
Will the same person appear in every shot?
Yes. One anchor character is used for the whole video: your photo or generated portrait is the identity reference for every shot, and a fixed character description is repeated in every shot prompt.
Does the character lip-sync to the lyrics?
No. The shots are performance and mood footage, and the prompts tell the model not to talk or lip-sync. If you want the words on screen, turn on lyric captions, which are timed to the sung words.
How long can the music video be?
From 10 to 60 seconds per video, with up to 20 shots. For a longer song, make several videos from different windows of the track and join them in an editor.
Can I make a vertical music video for TikTok and Reels?
Yes. Choose 9:16 vertical before you plan and every shot, the portrait and the final build are made in that shape. 16:9 landscape is the other option, for YouTube.
What happens if a shot fails?
That shot's credits are refunded automatically and you can generate it again. Other shots are not affected, and nothing is charged twice.
