When should you send a save the date video?
Save-the-dates usually go out 6–12 months before the wedding, at the earlier end for destination weddings and peak-season dates when guests need flights and leave. The formal invitation follows a few months before the day with the full venue and timings.
Because a teaser takes a few minutes to make, you can send it the same week you lock the date. Keep the location vague on purpose ("Udaipur" or "Italy"), and save the venue name for the invitation.
What text appears on the video?
The block fades in line by line a little after the middle of the clip, over a soft dark band, and the final frame holds for 1.5 seconds. Empty fields are left out.

Save the date video ideas
A teaser takes minutes and starts at 7 credits, so you can send more than one version.

Tips and limits
A few habits that save credits, and what the tool does not do yet.
- Use a sharp photo with both faces visible; very dark or crowded group photos give weaker results.
- Start with the 7-credit default to compare two or three styles, then re-make the favourite at 720p or longer.
- Leave shot-by-shot timing on for longer clips so the teaser cuts between several camera beats.
- The video has no soundtrack. Add a song when posting to Instagram or Status, or generate one with the AI Music Generator and join them in the Timeline Editor.
- The headline "Save the Date" is in English; your names and details can be in other scripts. Punjabi (Gurmukhi) and Odia scripts can't be drawn yet.
- You confirm you are 18 or over and have permission to use the photo before uploading.
