Wedding Invitation Video Maker: A Cinematic Invite From One Couple Photo

VdoBloom's wedding invitation video maker turns one photo of the couple into a short cinematic invitation video. You upload the photo, pick one of six styles (Royal / Mughal, Modern Minimal, South Indian Temple, Beach / Destination, Bollywood Cinematic or Garden Floral), type the names, date, venue and an optional hashtag, and the AI animates the couple into a decorated scene. Your details are then set on screen in elegant lettering and held on the final frame so guests can read them. The default output is a vertical 9:16 clip sized for WhatsApp, Status and Instagram Reels.

Is it free? New accounts get 10 free credits, and the default invite (Seedance 2 Mini, 4 seconds, 480p) costs 7 credits, so you can make your first one free. Free-tier videos carry a VdoBloom watermark; watermark-free downloads come with a paid plan. The Lite pack is 300 credits for $19.50 one-time (credits never expire) or $15 a month. In India, the Starter pack is 75 credits for ₹299.

It suits couples who want a personal digital invite instead of a printed card, families sending invites to large WhatsApp groups, and wedding planners who need a quick teaser for each event of a multi-day celebration.

Examples

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload the couple's photo

One clear photo of both of you: an engagement picture, a pre-wedding shoot frame or any portrait where both faces are visible. The photo is the first frame of the video, so faces and outfits carry through.

  2. 2

    Choose an invite style

Royal / Mughal, Modern Minimal, South Indian Temple, Beach / Destination, Bollywood Cinematic or Garden Floral. Each style sets the scene, lighting and colour palette of the text. You never have to write a prompt.

  3. 3

    Type the names and details

Groom's and bride's names (at least one is required), wedding date, venue and an optional hashtag such as #ArjunWedsPriya. Names can be typed in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and other Indian scripts as well as English.

  4. 4

Pick length and quality, then generate

The tab opens on Seedance 2 Mini, 4 seconds, 480p, 9:16 (7 credits). You can raise the length up to 15 seconds (30 on Seedance 2.5) or the resolution, and the exact price shows before you generate. A video usually takes about 2–3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Download and share

Download the MP4 and send it on WhatsApp, post it to Status or Reels, or put it on your wedding website. It is also saved in My Creations, where only you can see it.

Why use this tool

  • Your real names, spelled right

AI video models garble lettering, so the model is told to draw no text at all. Your names, date, venue and hashtag are typeset onto the finished clip afterwards, exactly as you typed them.

  • Six wedding styles

Palace grandeur, clean minimal, temple tradition with brass lamps and jasmine, beach at golden hour, marigold Bollywood drama and a rose-and-peony garden arch.

  • Indian scripts on screen

Names and details in Devanagari, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada or Malayalam script are set in a matching Noto font with correct conjuncts and vowel signs.

  • Built for WhatsApp

Vertical 9:16 by default, with the text block kept clear of the Status and Reels buttons. Square, 3:4, 4:3, 16:9 and 21:9 are also available.

  • Private by default

Wedding invites are never posted to the public gallery, the sitemap or remix feeds. Only your account can see them.

  • Refunded if it fails

If the video model fails, the credits for that invite are refunded automatically. If only the text step fails, you still get the clip and nothing extra is charged.

Which wedding invitation style should I choose?

Each style is a fixed scene description written for the model, plus a matching colour for your names and details. Pick the one closest to your wedding's look; the couple from your photo stays the focus of every one.

StyleWhat the scene looks likeGood for
Royal / MughalGold filigree, marble palace, warm candlelight, intricate Indian patterns; ivory and gold textPalace and heritage-hotel weddings, North Indian ceremonies
Modern MinimalClean ivory backdrop, light floral accents, soft daylightCourt weddings, intimate ceremonies, couples who prefer a simple look

How much does a wedding invitation video cost?

You pay per video in credits, based on the model, the length and the resolution. Adding your names and details costs nothing extra. The exact amount shows on the generate button before you spend anything.

What do the free credits and packs buy?

A worked example using the two most common settings. One-time pack credits never expire, so leftover credits stay for the save-the-date, the reception reel or next year's anniversary.

What text appears on the invitation?

The text block fades in a little after the middle of the clip, line by line, over a soft dark band so it stays readable on light backgrounds. The last frame is then held for 1.5 seconds with everything on screen. Empty fields are simply left out.

  • "The Wedding Of" in small capitals at the top
  • The couple's names in a flowing script font, joined with an ampersand (up to 40 characters each)
  • The date line, for example "14th December 2026 · Saturday" (up to 60 characters)
  • The venue, for example "Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad" (up to 90 characters)
  • Your wedding hashtag (up to 40 characters)

Wedding invitation video ideas

One photo and a few minutes per video make it practical to send a different clip for each event or each guest group.

  • One invite per function: mehendi in Bollywood Cinematic, the ceremony in Royal / Mughal or South Indian Temple, the reception in Modern Minimal. Put the event name in the date line, for example "Sangeet · 12th December, 7 PM".
  • A destination-wedding invite in Beach / Destination for guests who need to book travel early.
  • A version with names in Hindi, Tamil or Malayalam for grandparents and a version in English for friends.
  • A short teaser before the full invite using the Save the Date tool, in the same style family so the two match.
  • A wedding-website header clip in 16:9 instead of 9:16.

Tips for a better wedding invite video

The photo you start from matters more than any setting.

  • Use a sharp, well-lit photo where both faces are clearly visible and roughly the same size. Group photos and very dark photos give weaker results.
  • Pick the photo first, then the style: outdoor and daylight photos suit Garden Floral or Beach; evening and traditional-outfit photos suit Royal or Bollywood.
  • Keep the date and venue short. Long lines are shrunk and wrapped to fit, so "Taj Falaknuma, Hyderabad" reads better on a phone than the full street address.
  • Start with the 7-credit default to check the look, then re-make your favourite style at 720p or a longer length.
  • Leave the shot-by-shot timing setting on for longer clips: it splits the video into several camera beats (wide shot, close-up, slow orbit) instead of one continuous move.

What it can't do yet

Being clear about the limits saves credits. The wedding invite tool makes one animated clip from one photo with your text on it. It is not a full editor.

  • There is no soundtrack. The video is silent; you can add a song when you post it on Instagram or WhatsApp Status, or generate one with the AI Music Generator and join the two in the Timeline Editor.
  • The heading words ("The Wedding Of") are in English. Your own names and details can be in other scripts; Punjabi (Gurmukhi) and Odia scripts can't be drawn yet.
  • There is no RSVP form, map pin or voice narration inside the video.
  • If the date or venue changes, make a new video with the corrected details; a finished video can't be re-captioned.
  • Photos of real people must be yours or used with their permission, and you confirm you are 18 or over before uploading.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a wedding invitation video with AI?

Upload one photo of the couple to VdoBloom's wedding invite tool, choose a style such as Royal / Mughal or South Indian Temple, type the names, date and venue, and generate. In about 2–3 minutes you get a cinematic 9:16 video of the two of you with your details on screen, ready to download and send on WhatsApp.

Is the wedding invitation video maker free?

You can make one free. New accounts get 10 free credits and the default invite costs 7 credits. Free-tier videos carry a watermark; watermark-free downloads come with a paid plan, starting with the Lite pack at 300 credits for $19.50 one-time, or 75 credits for ₹299 in India.

How long should a wedding invitation video be for WhatsApp?

Short is better for WhatsApp: most guests watch once on a phone. A 5–10 second clip that ends on the names, date and venue is enough to announce the wedding. The tool lets you choose from 4 to 15 seconds on the Seedance 2 models, or up to 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5.

Can I write the names in Hindi, Tamil or Malayalam?

Yes. Names and details typed in Devanagari, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada or Malayalam script are set in a matching Noto font with correct joining. Arabic script, Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Korean are supported too. The small heading "The Wedding Of" stays in English.

Will the AI misspell our names?

No. The video model is instructed to draw no writing at all, because AI video models often garble letters. Your names and details are typeset onto the finished clip afterwards, character for character as you typed them.

Does the invitation video have music?

No, the clip is silent. Most couples add a song when posting to Instagram or WhatsApp Status. To bake music into the file, generate a track with VdoBloom's AI Music Generator and join it with the video in the Timeline Editor.

What if our wedding date or venue changes after we send it?

Generate a new invite with the corrected details. Finished videos can't be re-captioned, but a default invite costs 7 credits, so a corrected version is cheap and quick to make.

Which photo works best for a video invitation?

A sharp, well-lit photo of just the two of you, with both faces clearly visible: an engagement shot or a pre-wedding shoot frame is ideal. The photo becomes the first frame, so the outfits and setting in it carry into the video.

Are our wedding photos kept private?

Yes. Wedding invites are always private: they never appear in VdoBloom's public gallery, sitemap, embeds or remix feeds. Only your account sees them in My Creations.

What is the difference between a save-the-date and a wedding invitation video?

A save-the-date goes out months ahead and only announces the date, often with just a city. The wedding invitation follows closer to the day with the full venue and details. VdoBloom has a separate Save the Date tool with teaser styles like Movie Trailer and Ring Reveal.
