How to Make a Wedding Invitation Video with AI

Make a wedding invite video from your photo, names, date and venue, including a caricature style. WhatsApp-ready 9:16, from 7 credits. Step by step.

By VdoBloom Team

To make a wedding invitation video with AI, upload one photo of the couple to VdoBloom's Wedding Invitation Video Maker, pick one of six styles, type your names, date, venue and an optional hashtag, and generate. In about 2 to 3 minutes you get a short cinematic 9:16 clip of the two of you with your details set on screen, ready for WhatsApp. The default invite (4 seconds, 480p) costs 7 credits, and new accounts get 10 free credits. The clip is silent, and free-tier downloads carry a watermark.

Quick facts

  • Input: one photo of the couple, plus names, date, venue and an optional hashtag.
  • Styles: Royal / Mughal, Modern Minimal, South Indian Temple, Beach / Destination, Bollywood Cinematic, Garden Floral.
  • Text on screen: typeset after the video is made, so names are spelled exactly as typed. Devanagari, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Gujarati scripts work.
  • Length: 4 to 15 seconds, or up to 30 seconds on Seedance 2.5.
  • Shape: 9:16 by default for WhatsApp and Reels; square, 3:4, 4:3, 16:9 and 21:9 also available.
  • Price: 7 credits for the default; 17 credits for 5 seconds at 720p.
  • Privacy: invites are always private and never appear in the public gallery.

How do I make a wedding invitation video with AI?

  1. Choose the photo. One sharp, well-lit photo of just the two of you, with both faces clearly visible. An engagement shot or a pre-wedding frame works best. It becomes the first frame of the video, so the outfits and setting carry through.
  2. Open the Wedding Invitation Video Maker and upload it. You confirm that you are 18 or over and that you have permission to use the photo.
  3. Pick a style that matches your wedding. You do not need to write a prompt.
  4. Type the details: the names (at least one is required), the date line, the venue and a hashtag such as #ArjunWedsPriya.
  5. Pick length and quality. Start on the default (Seedance 2 Mini, 4 seconds, 480p, 7 credits) to check the look. The exact price shows before you generate.
  6. Download and share. The MP4 is saved in My Creations, where only you can see it.

How can I make a wedding invite video with our photos and names?

The tool is built around exactly that: your photo for the picture, your names for the text. Two details make the result look right.

Your names are not drawn by the AI. AI video models garble lettering, so the model is told to draw no text at all. Your names, date, venue and hashtag are set onto the finished clip afterwards, character for character. They fade in a little after the middle of the clip, line by line, over a soft dark band, and the last frame holds for 1.5 seconds so guests can read everything.

The layout is fixed and simple. The text block reads, top to bottom:

  • "The Wedding Of" in small capitals
  • Your names in a flowing script font, joined with an ampersand (up to 40 characters each)
  • The date line, such as "14th December 2026 · Saturday" (up to 60 characters)
  • The venue (up to 90 characters)
  • Your hashtag (up to 40 characters)

Empty fields are simply left out. Keep the venue short: "Taj Falaknuma, Hyderabad" reads better on a phone than a full street address.

Have more than one photo? Make one invite per photo or per event. For a multi-day wedding, put the event in the date line, for example "Sangeet · 12th December, 7 PM", and pick a different style for each function.

How to make a caricature wedding invite video with AI

There is no caricature button in the invite tool, but you can get the look in two steps. First turn your photo into a caricature, then animate that picture as the invite.

  1. Make the caricature. Open the AI Photo Editor, upload your couple photo and type the change, for example: "Turn this couple into a cheerful hand-drawn wedding caricature: big heads, small bodies, bright colours, wedding outfits, plain pastel background, keep both faces recognisable." Edits start at 3 credits at 1K on Nano Banana 2.1 or GPT Image 2.5.
  2. Check the faces. Caricatures exaggerate. Make sure both of you still look like yourselves, and try again with "keep the faces closer to the photo" if not.
  3. Animate it as the invite. Download the caricature and upload it to the Wedding Invitation Video Maker in place of the photo. Bollywood Cinematic and Garden Floral suit a playful look. Add your names and details as usual.

Total cost for a caricature invite on the defaults: about 10 credits, which is the 10 free credits new accounts get.

Want a sticker version for the guest group too? The AI Chibi Sticker Maker turns a photo into animated chibi stickers with a ready WhatsApp pack, at 5 credits per sticker.

Which style should I choose?

StyleWhat the scene looks likeGood for
Royal / MughalGold filigree, marble palace, warm candlelightPalace and heritage-hotel weddings
Modern MinimalClean ivory backdrop, light florals, soft daylightCourt weddings, intimate ceremonies
South Indian TempleBrass lamps, jasmine, banana leaves, gopuram silhouetteTamil, Telugu, Kannada and Kerala weddings
Beach / DestinationTurquoise water, white sand, golden-hour sunGoa, Bali and other destination weddings
Bollywood CinematicMarigolds, red and gold, festive sparklesSangeet, mehendi, big celebrations
Garden FloralRose and peony arch, pastel petalsGarden and daytime weddings, Western ceremonies

Pick the photo first, then the style. Daylight photos suit Garden Floral or Beach. Evening and traditional-outfit photos suit Royal or Bollywood.

Adding the date and venue text

  • Write the date the way guests say it: "14th December 2026 · Saturday" or "Sunday, 6 June 2027".
  • Add the time in the date line if each event has its own invite.
  • Names and details can be typed in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and other Indian scripts. A matching Noto font is used. The heading "The Wedding Of" stays in English.
  • Punjabi (Gurmukhi) and Odia scripts cannot be drawn yet.
  • If the date or venue changes, make a new video. A finished clip cannot be re-captioned.

Adding music

The invite comes back silent. You have two options.

  • Add music when you post. Instagram and WhatsApp Status let you add a song to the clip.
  • Bake a track into the file. Generate an original song with the AI Music Generator (from 6 credits per track; ACE-Step lets you set the vocal language, such as Hindi or Tamil), then join it with the video in the Timeline Editor.

Sharing on WhatsApp

  • Keep the default 9:16 shape. It fills a phone screen, and the text block stays clear of the Status buttons.
  • Keep it short. A 5 to 10-second clip that ends on the names, date and venue is enough. Most guests watch it once.
  • Send it as a video, not as a document, so it plays inline in the chat.
  • Make two versions if your guest list is mixed: names in Hindi or Tamil for grandparents, and in English for friends.

What does it cost?

Your names and details add nothing to the price. No subscription is needed. In India the Starter pack is 75 credits for ₹299, which covers ten default invites. Elsewhere, packs start at 200 credits for $10.39. One-time credits never expire, so leftovers carry over to the reception reel or a save-the-date. If a video fails, its credits are refunded automatically.
