AI Ad Variations Generator: Five Hook Variants of One Video Ad

VdoBloom’s Ad Variants generator is an AI ad variations generator for video. You enter your product, key benefit and audience. You then pick up to five hook styles from a library of ten, and the AI writes one ad script per hook. Choose your favourite and render it, or press Render all to turn every variant into a video in one go, ready to A/B test.

Is it free? Writing the scripts costs no credits. Rendering a variant costs whatever the chosen video model costs: 3 credits for a 4-second 480p clip on Seedance 1.5 Pro, 7 on Seedance 2 Mini, or 31 on the default Seedance 2. New accounts get 10 free credits. Paid credits start at 300 for $19.50 as a one-time pack that never expires, or $15 a month. Render all shows the combined price on the button before you start.

It is built for performance marketers, D2C brands, e-commerce sellers and agencies. These teams need several creative angles for Meta, TikTok and YouTube Shorts tests and cannot afford a shoot for each one. Scripts can be written in English, Hindi or Hinglish.

How it works

  1. 1

    Describe the product

Enter the product name (required), plus the key benefit, target audience and brand name. The more specific the benefit, the sharper the hooks.

  2. 2

    Pick up to 5 hooks

Choose from Curiosity, Problem–Solution, Social Proof, Urgency, Humor, Pattern Interrupt, Bold Claim, POV, Story Opening and Direct Call-out. The first five are pre-selected.

  3. 3

    Choose the script language

English, Hindi (Devanagari) or Hinglish. Spoken lines and on-screen text are written in that language, and the visual directions stay in English.

  4. 4

    Generate the scripts (free)

The AI writes one script per hook in parallel. Read each card, expand the full script, and regenerate the set if none of them land.

  5. 5

Upload a product or creator image

This image is the first frame the video animates from. Use a clean product shot, or a photo of a creator holding the product.

  6. 6

    Render one or all

Render the selected script, or press Render all to make one video per script. Each video tracks its own progress and download, and the default format is 9:16 vertical.

Why use this tool

  • 10-hook library

The five classic angles plus Pattern Interrupt, Bold Claim, POV, Story Opening and Direct Call-out. This covers the hook types performance teams rotate through.

  • Free script writing

Scripts cost no credits. You only pay when you render a video, so you can compare angles on paper first.

  • Render all in one click

Turn every script into a video at once, with the combined credit cost shown on the button before anything starts.

  • English, Hindi and Hinglish

Write variants for Indian audiences in natural Hindi or everyday Hinglish, alongside English.

  • Shot-timed scripts

On multi-shot models, each script is written as a timed shot list that matches your chosen clip length, so the hook lands in the first beat.

  • Any image-to-video model

Seedance 2 is the default, and every image-to-video model in VdoBloom is in the picker, from 3-credit tests to premium renders.

What is an AI ad variations generator?

An ad variations generator produces several versions of the same ad, each with a different hook, angle or opening, so you can test which one performs. Most tools in this category write ad copy only: headlines and primary text. VdoBloom’s Ad Variants goes one step further. Each variant is a full video script, and you can render it as a video ad straight away.

The hook matters most because viewers decide within the first second or two whether to keep watching. Testing several hooks on the same product and offer tells you which angle your audience responds to. You can then scale the winner instead of guessing.

The 10 hook styles

You can pick up to five per run. Each script applies one hook to your product and benefit.

HookHow it opens
CuriosityAn intriguing question or a surprising fact
Problem–SolutionNames a pain point, then shows the product fixing it
Social ProofLeads with results, reviews or a before/after
UrgencyA limited offer or a reason to act now
HumorA relatable, funny, shareable moment
Pattern InterruptAn unexpected first frame that breaks the scroll
Bold ClaimOne strong, specific statement (true facts only)
POVA "POV:" moment the viewer recognises
Story OpeningStarts a short story the viewer wants to finish
Direct Call-outNames the exact audience in the first line

How to A/B test your ad variants

A simple creative-testing loop that works with any ad platform:

  • Keep the product, offer and audience the same, and change only the hook, so the test measures the angle.
  • Run two to five variants with equal budget in the same campaign or ad set.
  • Judge the opening by thumb-stop and hold rate first, then by click-through and cost per result once each ad has enough delivery.
  • Scale the winning hook. Then generate a fresh set of five that riff on it: same angle, new first line.
  • Keep a record of which hook types win for each product. Patterns appear quickly.

Use cases

Where five angles from one brief pay off.

  • Meta and Instagram Reels ads that need fresh creative every week to beat ad fatigue.
  • TikTok and YouTube Shorts tests for a new product launch.
  • D2C brands targeting Indian audiences with Hindi or Hinglish variants next to English.
  • Agencies pitching several creative directions to a client before production.
  • Finding which benefit to lead with before you spend on a creator or a shoot.

Limits to know

Each run writes up to five scripts. You pick from them and cannot edit the wording inside the tool, so regenerate the set if you want a different take. To keep script writing free, it is rate-limited per account; if you hit the limit, wait a few minutes. Each video renders from the single image you upload. The tool does not resize one render into several aspect ratios or publish to ad accounts, and it does not predict performance. Your own test data decides the winner.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AI ad variations generator free?

Writing the scripts is free. Rendering costs the chosen model’s price: 3 credits for a 4-second 480p video on Seedance 1.5 Pro, or 31 on the default Seedance 2. New accounts get 10 free credits, and paid credits start at 300 for $19.50, one-time and never expiring.

How many ad variations can I make at once?

Up to five per run, one per hook you select from the ten available. Render all turns all five into videos at once, and you can regenerate a new set whenever you like.

What hook types does it use?

Curiosity, Problem–Solution, Social Proof, Urgency, Humor, Pattern Interrupt, Bold Claim, POV, Story Opening and Direct Call-out. Each script applies one of them to your product, benefit and audience.

Can I make ad variations in Hindi or Hinglish?

Yes. Pick Hindi to get spoken lines and on-screen text in Devanagari, or Hinglish for Hindi written in Latin letters and mixed with English. Visual directions stay in English, so the video model understands them.

Can I edit a script before rendering?

Not inside this tool. You choose the script you like best, and you can regenerate the whole set as often as you need. For a fully custom script, use the AI Advertisement tool.

What image should I upload?

A clean, well-lit product photo, or a photo of a creator holding the product. The video animates from this image, so the product should be clearly visible and in focus.

How should I test the variants?

Run two to five variants with equal budget against the same audience, and change only the hook. Compare thumb-stop and hold rate first, then click-through and cost per result. Scale the winner and iterate on its angle.

Which platforms are the videos for?

Videos default to 9:16 vertical for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. Models with an aspect-ratio setting also offer 1:1 and 16:9 for feed placements.

Are downloads watermarked?

Downloads on the free tier carry a VdoBloom watermark. On a paid plan the MP4 downloads clean.

What if one of the videos fails?

A failed render is marked on its card and its credits are refunded. The other variants keep rendering.
