Tips for better AI logos
AI image models are strongest at icons and short words. A few habits make a big difference:
- Keep the text short. One to three words renders far more reliably than a full slogan; add taglines later.
- Spell the brand name in quotes in your prompt, and check every letter in the result before you use it.
- Name one symbol, not five. “Mountain peak” beats “mountain, compass, sun and tent”.
- Describe a shape: circle badge, shield, monogram, wordmark only, or icon above the name.
- Generate 3 or 4 variations with a low-cost model first, then rerun your favourite idea on a premium model.
- Test the logo small. Shrink it to favicon size to see if it still reads.
What file do I get, and can I get a transparent PNG or SVG?
Logos download as square PNG images on a white background, which is ready for most websites, profile pictures, slides and documents.

Limits: what the AI logo generator can’t do
Being clear about the limits saves credits and surprises:
- There is no drag-and-drop editor. To change a logo you edit the prompt and generate again, or use the Image Editor.
- Long names and taglines can come out misspelled. Proofread before you print anything.
- Output is a raster PNG; vector SVG needs the separate Recraft V4 Vector step.
