Viral AI Photo Trends: Turn Your Selfie into the Latest AI Photo Edits
Viral Photo Trends puts the AI photo edits people share most into one tool, with no prompt writing. Upload a clear photo of yourself, pick a trend such as the boxed action figure, 90s yearbook portrait, red saree, anime portrait or toy-brick minifigure, choose a style, and the AI returns a 2K image with your face kept. There are 15 trends, each with its own set of looks.
Each photo costs 5 credits on GPT Image 2.5 or 18 credits on Nano Banana Pro, and the price is shown before you generate. New accounts get 10 free credits, enough for two trend photos on GPT Image 2.5. There is no app to install; it runs in the browser on phone or desktop, and you can send any result to the upscaler with one tap.
It is for anyone who sees a trend on Instagram, TikTok or WhatsApp and wants their own version in a minute, without copying long prompts into a chatbot and hoping it keeps their face.

Why use this tool
No prompts to write
Each trend has its prompt built in, so you only pick options. The wording behind each look is tuned to keep your face, hair and skin tone.
15 trends, more than 45 looks
Every trend has its own styles: four action-figure styles, nine saree and festive looks, four retro eras, four pixel-art styles and more.
Your name on the box
The action figure trend can print a name of up to 24 characters on the packaging, spelled exactly as you type it, plus accessories you list.
Two-person trends
Diwali couple and future baby combine two separate photos into one image, so the two people do not need to be in the same picture.
Two model choices
GPT Image 2.5 for the lowest cost per photo, or Nano Banana Pro for a second take on the same look.
Consent built in
Every run requires you to confirm you have the right to use the photo, and the trends are meant only for photos of yourself or of adults who agreed.
Which AI photo trends are viral right now?
Trend roundups in 2026 keep returning to the same few families: turning yourself into a collectible toy (action figures, vinyl figures, doll boxes, brick minifigures, chibi figurines), time-travel looks such as 80s studio portraits and 90s yearbook photos, stylised portraits like anime and 3D animated characters, and festive looks that spike around holidays. Most guides tell you to paste a long prompt into a chatbot. Here each of those looks is a preset.
The table lists every trend in the tool, what you upload and the styles you can choose.

Is it free to try the AI photo trends?
You can try it free. New VdoBloom accounts get 10 free credits and a trend photo costs 5 on GPT Image 2.5, so your first two photos cost nothing. After that you buy credits: the Lite pack is 300 credits for $19.50 one-time, or $15 a month as a subscription. One-time credits never expire; subscription credits reset each billing cycle. Every trend costs the same, and the exact total is shown above the Generate button.
| What you run | Credits | With 10 free credits | With Lite (300 credits) |
|---|---|---|---|
| One trend photo on GPT Image 2.5 (2K) | 5 | 2 photos | 60 photos |
| One trend photo on Nano Banana Pro (2K) | 18 | Not enough | 16 photos |
| Diwali couple or future baby (two uploads, one image) | 5 or 18 | 2 photos on GPT Image 2.5 | 60 or 16 photos |
How to make the AI action figure trend
Choose Action figure / toy box, upload a clear photo of yourself, and pick a style: the classic blister pack with a printed card, a 3D chibi figurine standing on a desk, a felt doll, or a collectible box with accessories laid out. Type the name you want on the box (up to 24 characters) and, if you like, up to 80 characters of accessories, such as “laptop, coffee cup, cricket bat”. The name is printed exactly as typed.
If you prefer a different toy look, the same photo works in Big-head vinyl figure, Doll box portrait, Toy brick minifigure and Clay figure. For a sheet of cute stickers instead of a single figure, use the Chibi Stickers tool.

How to make the 90s yearbook and 80s retro photos
There are two retro trends. 80s / 90s retro photo has four eras: an 80s studio portrait with a laser backdrop, an 80s film snapshot, a 90s camcorder frame and a 90s yearbook photo. AI yearbook 90s focuses on school portraits only, with senior portrait, class photo and varsity styles. Upload a front-facing photo with your face clearly visible and no heavy filters or sunglasses.

Saree, Diwali and festival portraits
The Saree & Diwali portrait trend has six looks for women (red silk saree in a retro 90s style, chiffon saree on a vintage Bollywood poster, bridal lehenga with henna, Diwali diyas and rangoli, Onam kasavu saree and Durga Puja lal paar saree) and three for men (Onam kasavu mundu, Durga Puja dhoti and panjabi, Diwali silk kurta). For two people in one festive frame, use Diwali couple portrait and upload one photo of each person.

Preset trends vs prompting ChatGPT or Gemini
You can recreate many trends by pasting a prompt into a general chatbot, and trend articles usually share one prompt per trend. Here the prompt for each look is already written, with an instruction to keep your face, skin tone, age and features as they are in the photo. The options are buttons rather than text you have to edit, the name on an action-figure box is printed exactly as typed, and in two-photo trends each person is taken only from their own upload. The result lands in the same account you use for VdoBloom’s photo-to-video tools, so a trend photo can be animated next.
Tips for better trend photos
The model keeps the face it can see, so the input photo matters more than any setting.
- Use a recent, sharp, front-facing photo with even light and your whole face visible.
- Avoid heavy beauty filters, sunglasses, hats that hide the hairline, and group photos.
- A head-and-shoulders or waist-up photo works for most trends; full-body photos help for toy and figure looks.
- For future baby and Diwali couple, use two photos with similar lighting and both faces looking at the camera.
- If a result is close but not right, run it again or switch models: GPT Image 2.5 and Nano Banana Pro interpret the same look differently.
- Use Upscale on the result before printing or posting it at large sizes.
Rules, privacy and what the tool will not do
Use only photos of yourself or of adults who have agreed. Do not upload photos of celebrities, public figures or minors, and do not use the results to impersonate or embarrass someone. Future baby is a playful blend for fun, not a genetic prediction. The maternity portrait is always a tasteful, fully clothed image of an adult.
Each run makes one image. The tool does not edit videos or animate the result; to bring a trend photo to life, use the image-to-video tools.
Frequently asked questions
What are the most popular AI photo trends?
The most shared AI photo trends turn people into collectibles (boxed action figures, vinyl figures, doll boxes, brick minifigures), send them back in time (80s studio portraits, 90s yearbook photos), or restyle them (anime, 3D animated characters, pixel art). Festive looks such as saree and Diwali portraits spike around holidays. All of these are presets in VdoBloom Viral Photo Trends.
How do I do the AI action figure trend?
Open Viral Photo Trends, choose Action figure / toy box, upload a clear photo of yourself, pick a style such as blister pack or 3D chibi figurine, type the name for the box and any accessories, and press Generate. It costs 5 credits on GPT Image 2.5.
Can I try AI photo trends for free?
Yes. New VdoBloom accounts get 10 free credits and a trend photo costs 5 credits on GPT Image 2.5, so your first two photos are free.
Do I need to write a prompt?
No. Each trend has its prompt built in. You only upload a photo and choose options such as the style, era or setting. The action figure trend also lets you type a name and accessories.
Will the AI keep my face?
Every trend is written to keep your face, hair and skin tone recognisable. Results are best with a sharp, front-facing photo without heavy filters or sunglasses. Stylised trends like pixel art, brick minifigures and clay figures keep your features in that style rather than photographically.
How do I make a 90s yearbook photo with AI?
Choose AI yearbook 90s for senior portrait, class photo or varsity styles, or 80s / 90s retro photo and pick 90s yearbook. Upload a front-facing photo and press Generate; each photo costs 5 credits on GPT Image 2.5.
Which photos am I allowed to use?
Photos of yourself, or of adults who have agreed. Photos of celebrities, public figures and minors are not allowed, and each run asks you to confirm consent.
What resolution are the trend photos?
Trend photos are generated at 2K on both models. You can tap Upscale on any result to open it in the AI Image Upscaler, which is charged at the upscaler’s own rate.
Can I put two people in one trend photo?
Diwali couple portrait and future baby each take two photos, one per person, and combine them into one image. The other trends are for one person per photo.
Can I turn my trend photo into a video?
Yes. Download the result or open it from My Creations, then use VdoBloom’s image-to-video tools to animate it into a short clip.
