AI Twitch Overlay Generator and Stream Assets Maker
VdoBloom’s stream assets maker is an AI Twitch overlay generator for the graphics a channel needs: chat emotes, subscriber badges, profile panel headers with your exact title, webcam overlay frames with a transparent centre, and full-screen Starting Soon, Be Right Back and Thanks for Watching screens. Emotes, badges, panels and webcam frames come out as PNGs with a real transparent background, ready to upload to Twitch or layer in OBS and Streamlabs.
Is it free? New accounts get 10 free credits, enough for two assets. Every asset costs 5 credits, so a complete starter kit of 14 graphics is 70 credits. The Lite pack is 300 credits for $19.50 as a one-time purchase, and one-time credits never expire, so you can come back for new emotes whenever your channel needs them.
It is made for new and small streamers on Twitch and YouTube Live who want a matching set of graphics without hiring a designer, and for moderators or designers who mock up assets for a channel. Pick one of five styles and eight colour palettes and keep them the same across every asset to get a consistent brand.

How it works
- 1
Choose the asset type
Emote, sub badge, panel header, webcam frame, or a Starting Soon / BRB / stream ending screen.
- 2
Describe the idea
Name the character for an emote ("a fox with headphones"), the badge emblem ("a glowing crystal"), or an optional theme or scene for panels, frames and screens.
- 3
Pick a style, colours and mood
Choose cute, esports, retro pixel, neon or minimal, then a palette. Emotes add an emotion; screens add which screen you need.
- 4
Add your exact text
Up to 30 characters, printed exactly as typed: a panel title like ABOUT ME, your channel name on a frame, or a custom screen title. Emotes and badges can stay text-free.
- 5
Generate and use it
Download the PNG, then upload emotes and badges in your Twitch creator dashboard or add frames and screens as image sources in OBS or Streamlabs.
Why use this tool
Real transparent PNGs
Emotes, badges, panel headers and webcam frames are generated with an actual alpha channel, so there is no white box to remove before you use them.
Text that reads exactly
Titles and names are printed character for character, in bold lettering that stays legible on a stream layout.
Built for tiny sizes
Emotes are drawn with thick outlines and big expressions to stay readable at 28×28 px; badges use simple silhouettes for 18×18 px.
One look across the kit
Five styles and eight palettes you can repeat on every asset, so emotes, panels, frames and screens look like one set.
Original designs only
Every asset is drawn as an original design with no existing game characters, mascots, brand logos or watermarks.
Pay per asset
Each asset is a single 5-credit generation, so you can try a few emotions or palettes and keep the best one.
What stream assets can you make?
Each asset type has its own layout rules, so the result is shaped for where it will be used. All five run on Qwen Image 2.1 at 2K.
| Asset | Shape | Background | What you choose | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Emote | Square | Transparent | Character (required), emotion, style, colours, optional text | 5 |
| Sub badge | Square | Transparent | Badge idea (required), style, colours, optional text | 5 |
| Panel header | 16:9 canvas with a wide banner across the middle | Transparent around the banner | Title (required), optional decoration, style, colours | 5 |
| Webcam frame | 16:9 border frame | Transparent centre and edges | Optional theme and text on the bottom border, style, colours | 5 |
| Starting Soon / BRB / Ending screen | 16:9 full screen | Opaque scene | Which screen, optional scene and custom title, style, colours | 5 |
Styles, palettes and emotes
The same style and palette options appear on every asset type. Choosing them once and reusing them is the easiest way to make a stream kit look designed.
- Styles: Cute (soft rounded cartoon), Esports (sharp mascot style with metallic accents), Retro pixel (8/16-bit pixel art), Neon (glowing synthwave outlines), Minimal (flat geometric shapes).
- Palettes: Vibrant, Purple & pink, Blue & cyan, Red & black, Green & lime, Gold & black, Pastel, Black & white.
- Emote emotions: Hype, Love, Laugh, Sad, Rage and GG.
- Screens: Starting Soon, Be Right Back and Thanks for Watching, or your own title in place of the default.
What does a full stream kit cost?
Each asset is 5 credits. Here is a worked example of a complete starter kit; the price is shown on the button before every generation.
- 10 free sign-up credits cover two assets, for example one emote and one panel.
- A 300-credit Lite pack covers four full kits, or 60 single assets.
| Asset | Quantity | Credits |
|---|---|---|
| Emotes (for example Hype, Love, GG) | 3 | 15 |
| Sub badges (three tiers) | 3 | 15 |
| Panel headers (About Me, Schedule, Rules, Socials) | 4 | 20 |
| Webcam frame | 1 | 5 |
| Starting Soon, Be Right Back and Thanks for Watching screens | 3 | 15 |
| Full kit | 14 | 70 |
Twitch sizes and how to upload the assets
The generator makes high-resolution images, larger than Twitch displays them, which keeps them sharp when scaled down. Twitch shows emotes at 112, 56 and 28 px and subscriber badges at 72, 36 and 18 px; its creator dashboard can resize one large square image for you, or you can export the sizes yourself. Panels display 320 px wide on your channel page.
Panel headers are drawn as a wide banner across the middle of a transparent 16:9 canvas, so crop the canvas to the banner (roughly a 320×100 shape) before uploading it as a panel image. Starting Soon and BRB screens are 16:9 and fill a 1920×1080 scene when scaled.
Using the overlays in OBS and Streamlabs
Webcam frames and screens are ordinary image files, so they work in any streaming software that accepts PNG images.
- Webcam frame: add an Image source with the PNG above your camera source, then resize the camera to sit inside the transparent centre.
- Starting Soon or BRB: create a scene, add the PNG as an Image source and stretch it to the canvas; add music or a countdown on top if you like.
- Panel headers: crop to the banner, then add it in the About section of your Twitch channel.
- Emotes and badges: upload in the Twitch creator dashboard under your emote and badge settings once you have access to them.
Twitch overlay vs stream assets: what is the difference?
An overlay is anything that sits on top of your live video, such as a webcam frame, a border or a chat box. Stream assets is the wider set of channel graphics: overlays plus emotes, badges, panels and scene screens. This tool covers the webcam frame and full-screen scenes on the overlay side and the main channel graphics on the asset side, so you can build a matching identity from one place.
Tips for better emotes and overlays
Small graphics fail when they have too much detail, so design for the smallest size first.
- Describe one simple character with one strong feature, such as "a fox with headphones", not a full scene.
- Shrink every emote to 28 px on your screen before uploading; if the expression is unclear, try a bolder style or another emotion.
- Keep text short. Panel titles like ABOUT ME or SCHEDULE read better than sentences, and badges usually look cleaner with no text.
- Reuse the same style and palette for every asset in the kit.
- Use your own original ideas. The tool is set up to draw original designs, and game characters, brand logos or trademarks you do not own can get assets rejected by Twitch.
What the stream assets maker does not do
Plan around these limits when building a channel package.
- Assets are still images. Animated emotes, animated alerts and video overlays are not generated here.
- It works from your text description; you cannot upload your own face, logo or photo to base an emote on.
- There is no single full-layout overlay with a gameplay window, chat box and alert slots in one image; build those from separate pieces.
- Panel headers need a quick crop from the 16:9 canvas.
- One asset per generation, and on-image text is limited to 30 characters.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI Twitch overlay generator?
An AI Twitch overlay generator creates stream graphics from a text description instead of a design program. VdoBloom’s version makes webcam overlay frames with a transparent centre, Starting Soon and BRB screens, emotes, sub badges and panel headers, in a style and colour palette you choose.
Is the stream assets maker free?
You can try it free: new accounts get 10 credits, which covers two assets at 5 credits each. After that, credits come from packs such as Lite, 300 credits for $19.50 as a one-time purchase. One-time credits never expire.
How much does each emote or overlay cost?
Every asset costs 5 credits, whether it is an emote, a sub badge, a panel header, a webcam frame or a full-screen Starting Soon screen. A starter kit of 14 assets (3 emotes, 3 badges, 4 panels, a webcam frame and 3 screens) is 70 credits.
Are the PNGs really transparent?
Yes. Emotes, sub badges, panel headers and webcam frames are generated with a real alpha channel, so the background is transparent when you download them. Only the Starting Soon, Be Right Back and stream ending screens are opaque, because they fill the whole screen.
Will the emotes work at Twitch sizes?
They are designed for it. Emotes use thick outlines, flat shading and big expressions so they stay readable at 28×28 px, and badges are simple enough for 18×18 px. Download the high-resolution PNG and let the Twitch dashboard resize it, or export 112, 56 and 28 px versions yourself.
Can I put my channel name or a title on the graphics?
Yes. Type up to 30 characters and the text is printed exactly as written: a panel title such as ABOUT ME, your name on the bottom border of a webcam frame, or a custom title on a Starting Soon screen. Panel headers require a title; on other assets text is optional.
Can it make animated overlays or alerts?
No. The stream assets maker produces still PNG images. You can still use them in animated scenes in OBS or Streamlabs, for example by adding a countdown or music over a Starting Soon screen, but the tool does not generate animated emotes or alert animations.
Can I use these assets on YouTube Live or other platforms?
Yes. Webcam frames and scene screens work in any streaming software that accepts PNG images, whichever platform you stream to. Emotes and badges are shaped for Twitch chat but can also be used for YouTube channel memberships or Discord, subject to each platform’s own size rules.
Can I use game characters or brand logos in my emotes?
No. The tool is instructed to draw every asset as an original design, without existing game characters, mascots, brand logos or trademarks, and you should avoid asking for them. This also protects your channel, because Twitch can reject emotes that use other people’s intellectual property.
