AI Hairstyle Try-On: See 9 Haircuts, Colors or Beards on Your Own Face

VdoBloom AI hairstyle try-on shows nine hairstyles on your own face in one 3×3 grid. Upload one clear selfie, pick a style set (women’s trending, men’s trending, short cuts, long and curly, or hair colors) and the AI draws you nine times with the same face, expression, head angle and clothes, changing only the hair. The same page also does nine beard and mustache styles, and single makeup looks.

Is it free? New accounts get 10 free credits. A nine-style grid costs 5 credits on GPT Image 2.5 (the default), so the free credits cover two grids, or 18 sets of styles. A makeup look costs 5 credits. Splitting a grid into nine separate photos is free. Paid credits start at 300 for $19.50 as a one-time pack that never expires, or $15 a month.

It is for anyone deciding on a new cut or color before the salon, men choosing a beard shape, stylists showing clients options, and creators making before-and-after content.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload a clear selfie

Face the camera in even light, with your face and hairline visible and nothing covering your head. Head-and-shoulders framing works best.

  2. 2

Choose Hairstyles, Beard styles or Makeup looks

Pick a style set for hair or beards, and whether each cell shows the style’s name underneath. For makeup, pick a look and Full or Subtle intensity.

  3. 3

    Generate the grid

You get one 3×3 grid of nine looks on a plain light-grey background, with your face, expression and clothing unchanged. 5 credits on GPT Image 2.5 or 18 on Nano Banana Pro.

  4. 4

    Split, compare, share

Press "Split into 9 photos (free)" to get each style as its own image, then download them or show them to your stylist or barber.

Why use this tool

  • Nine styles per grid

Every run shows nine looks side by side on the same face, so you compare cuts directly instead of flicking through single previews.

  • Only the hair changes

Each cell keeps your face, expression, head angle, clothing and lighting; the hair set changes only the hairstyle, and the color set keeps your current cut and changes only the color.

  • Hair, color, beards and makeup

Five hair sets (45 styles), two beard sets (18 styles) and nine makeup looks, all on one page.

  • Free split into separate photos

Turn the grid into nine individual images at no extra cost, ready to save or send.

  • Optional style names

Show a small caption with each style’s name under its cell, so you can tell the salon exactly what to ask for, or turn labels off for a clean image.

  • Refunds on failure

If a generation fails, its credits are refunded automatically.

How does an AI hairstyle try-on work?

An AI hairstyle try-on takes a photo of your face and redraws only your hair in a new style, keeping your face shape, features, skin tone and expression. Unlike a flat sticker or filter pasted on top of your head, the image model draws the new hair with its own texture, volume and a natural hairline that follows your head.

VdoBloom shows nine results at once: the grid prompt keeps you identical in every cell and changes one thing, the hairstyle (or the hair color, or the beard). Seeing nine options next to each other on your own face is the quickest way to rule styles in or out.

Every hairstyle and beard you can try

Each set fills all nine cells of the grid, in this order.

Makeup try-on

Makeup looks apply one look to your photo and keep everything else: face, skin tone (makeup sits on top of your real skin, with no lightening), hair, expression, clothing, background and lighting, with visible natural skin texture rather than a beauty-filter smoothing effect.

  • Nine looks: Natural, Soft glam, Classic red lip, Smoky eye, Bridal, Glass skin, Graphic liner, Sunset eyes and 90s brown lip.
  • Two intensities: Full, or Subtle for an everyday version of the same look.
  • Useful for choosing a bridal or party look before booking a makeup artist.

Tips for a realistic hairstyle preview

The model keeps what it can see of your face, so the selfie decides how convincing the grid looks.

  • Face the camera straight on, in soft daylight, with no strong shadows across your face.
  • Pull hair back from your face if you can, so your forehead, ears and hairline are visible.
  • Remove hats, hoods and large headphones; keep glasses only if you always wear them.
  • Use head-and-shoulders framing, with only you in the photo.
  • For a beard grid, start from a photo where your jawline is visible; a clean-shaven or short-beard photo gives the cleanest results.
  • Turn labels on when you plan to show the grid to your stylist or barber.

What it cannot tell you

A try-on is a visual preview. It cannot judge whether your real hair’s thickness, texture or length can be cut or styled into a look, and a dramatic color change may need bleaching your stylist should advise on. Results are generated images, so treat them as a guide when choosing, not a promise of the salon result.

The tool uses fixed style sets rather than a style you type in, and it does not analyse your face shape to recommend styles. To try one specific style that is not in a set, describe it in the AI Image Editor. Upload only your own photo or a photo of an adult who agreed to it.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AI hairstyle try-on free?

New accounts get 10 free credits. A nine-style grid costs 5 credits with the default GPT Image 2.5 model, so you can try two grids (18 hairstyles) free. Splitting a grid into nine photos is free. After that, credits start at 300 for $19.50 as a one-time pack that never expires, or $15 a month.

How do I see what a haircut looks like on me?

Upload a clear, front-facing selfie, choose a hair set such as Women’s trending, Men’s trending, Short cuts or Long & curly, and generate. You get nine versions of yourself in one grid, each with a different haircut and the same face, expression and clothes.

Can I try a new hair color?

Yes. The Hair colors set keeps your current haircut and changes only the color across nine options: platinum blonde, honey balayage, copper red, jet black, chocolate brown, ash grey, rose gold, pastel lavender and caramel highlights.

Can men try beards and haircuts?

Yes. Men’s trending has nine cuts from a buzz cut to a man bun, and the Beard styles tool has two sets of nine: Classic (clean shaven, stubble, boxed beard, goatee, van dyke and more) and Bold (ducktail, garibaldi, handlebar mustache, mutton chops, viking braid and more).

Will the AI change my face?

It is instructed not to: every cell keeps your face, expression, head angle, clothing and lighting, and only the hair (or beard) changes. A sharp, evenly lit, front-facing photo gives the most faithful likeness.

Can I get each hairstyle as a separate photo?

Yes. After the grid is generated, press "Split into 9 photos (free)" and each cell becomes its own image you can download.

Does it recommend hairstyles for my face shape?

No. It does not analyse face shape. Instead it shows nine styles on your actual face at once, so you can see directly which ones suit you.

Can I type in a specific hairstyle?

The try-on uses fixed sets of nine. For one particular style, for example a wolf cut with curtain bangs, upload your photo to the AI Image Editor and describe the hairstyle.

Which model should I choose?

GPT Image 2.5 is the default at 5 credits per grid. Nano Banana Pro costs 18 credits per grid; try it if you want a second rendering of the same set. Both run at 2K.

Can I try makeup looks too?

Yes. Makeup looks applies one of nine looks (from Natural and Soft glam to Bridal, Smoky eye and Graphic liner) at Full or Subtle intensity, for 5 credits, and keeps your real skin tone, hair and background.
