AI Ad Remix: Recreate a Winning Competitor Ad With Your Product
VdoBloom Winning-Ad Remix is an AI tool that recreates the structure of an ad that already works, using your product and your own words. Upload a screenshot of a static ad or a video ad up to 60 seconds long. The AI breaks it down into format, hook, layout, palette and pacing, writes a version for your product, and renders the remake. It copies the structure only. The other brand's name, logo, people, product and wording never appear in your ad.
Is it free? Breaking down a static ad is free, and so is adapting it to your product. Rendering the finished static ad costs 5 credits, so the 10 free credits every new account gets cover two remakes. A video breakdown costs 10 credits for any clip up to 60 seconds. The video remake itself is made with Seedance 2 at 720p and is priced by length, from 66 credits for 4 seconds to 244 credits for 15 seconds. One-time credit packs never expire: 300 credits cost $19.50.
It is built for small sellers, D2C brands, dropshippers and freelance media buyers who spot a long-running ad in their niche and want to test the same idea for their own offer without hiring a designer or editor.

How it works
- 1
Choose static or video
Pick Static ad to remake an image ad, or Video ad to remake a clip. Confirm you have the right to upload the file.
- 2
Upload the ad you want to learn from
Add a screenshot of the ad, or an MP4, MOV or WebM clip up to 60 seconds. Upload only: nothing is scraped from an ad library.
- 3
Break it down
The AI names the ad format and hook type, describes the layout, palette and type style, and gives three reasons it works. Video ads also get a timed scene map and pacing (cuts, average shot length, energy).
- 4
Add your product and offer
Upload your product photo and write your offer in up to 300 characters, for example the product, size, price and delivery terms. Only facts you write here appear in the remake.
- 5
Adapt and edit the copy
Press Adapt to my product (free). For a static ad you can edit the headline, each text block and the button before rendering. For a video you get a timestamped multi-shot prompt you can edit.
- 6
Render the remake
Pick a size (4:5, 9:16, 1:1 or 1.91:1) and render the static ad, or make the video with Seedance 2. Results land in My Ads, ready to download, resize or translate.
Why use this tool
A real breakdown, not a guess
Every ad is sorted into one of 12 formats (UGC talking head, product demo, before/after, problem-solution, listicle, unboxing and more) and one of 10 hook types (pattern interrupt, question, bold claim, POV, social proof opening and more).
Structure only, never the other brand
The remake keeps the format, hook mechanism, layout and pacing. It does not reuse the advertiser's brand, logo, people, product or copy.
No invented claims
Numbers, percentages, results, ratings, reviews and certifications that your brief does not state are rewritten out of the copy before rendering.
Your product, exactly
The static remake is rendered from your product photo with GPT Image 2.5 at 2K. In video mode your product photo is the reference image for every shot.
Editable before you pay
Headline (40 characters), text blocks (80 characters each) and the button (18 characters) are all editable, and the credit cost shows before each paid step.
Safe zones for Stories and Reels
Text and product are kept away from the edges, and 9:16 remakes keep text out of the top and bottom areas that platform buttons cover.
How much does it cost to recreate a competitor ad with AI?
You pay only for the steps that render something. Every price below comes from the same quote the tool shows before you press a button.
| Step | Static ad | Video ad |
|---|---|---|
| Break down the ad | Free | 10 credits (any clip up to 60 s) |
| Adapt to your product | Free | Free |
| Edit headline, text and button | Free | Free (edit the shot prompt) |
| Render the remake | 5 credits (GPT Image 2.5, 2K) | Seedance 2, 720p, priced by length (table below) |
What a video remake costs by length
The video remake matches the length of the ad you uploaded, kept between 4 and 15 seconds. It renders with Seedance 2 at 720p with sound, using your product photo as the reference image.
| Remake length | Credits | Total with the 10-credit breakdown |
|---|---|---|
| 4 seconds | 66 | 76 |
| 5 seconds | 82 | 92 |
| 8 seconds | 131 | 141 |
| 10 seconds | 163 | 173 |
| 12 seconds | 196 | 206 |
| 15 seconds | 244 | 254 |

What the breakdown tells you about an ad
The breakdown is the part most people use first, because it turns a gut feeling ("this ad is everywhere") into something you can copy on purpose. For each ad you get:
- Format: which of 12 ad formats it uses, such as product demo, before/after, testimonial compilation, comparison, text-on-screen or montage.
- Hook type and the hook itself: what stops the scroll in the first moment, in one sentence.
- Layout: where the headline, product, badge, call to action and background sit.
- Palette and typography: the dominant colours, contrast and type weight.
- Why it works: three short reasons in plain language.
- A fill-in-the-blank template using [PRODUCT], [BENEFIT] and [OFFER].
- For video ads: a timed scene map (hook, problem, solution, feature, proof, call to action), camera notes, the cut count, average shot length and the audio style.

Is it legal to recreate a competitor's ad?
Ad formats and hook mechanisms, such as a before/after split or a question hook, are common building blocks used across every category. Brand names, logos, people's likenesses, product shots and written copy belong to the advertiser. Winning-Ad Remix is designed around that line: it learns from the structure and rebuilds it with your product, your offer and your words, and it never reuses the original brand, logo, people or copy.
You still decide what to publish. Upload only ads you are allowed to use as a reference, check the remake against your own claims, and ask a lawyer if an ad is distinctive enough that a close remake could confuse buyers.
How to find an ad worth remaking
The tool works on any ad you can screenshot or save, so the useful skill is picking the right one. A few signals help:
- Longevity: an ad that has run for weeks is more likely to be profitable than one that launched yesterday. Public ad libraries show start dates.
- Variations: when a brand runs several versions of the same idea, the idea itself is probably working.
- Fit: pick an ad whose format suits your product. A product demo needs something visual to show; a problem-solution ad needs a clear pain point.
- Clarity: a sharp, full-frame screenshot or the original clip gives a better breakdown than a cropped or blurry capture.
Tips for a better remake
- Write concrete facts in the brief: product name, size, price, delivery terms. The remake can only use what you write, so vague briefs give vague ads.
- Use a clean product photo on a plain background. The static render keeps your product exactly as photographed.
- Shorten the headline yourself if it feels long. Short headlines read better on phones.
- Render the 4:5 version first for feeds, then use Ad Resize Pack for the other placements instead of remaking each size.
- Make two or three remakes from different winning ads and test them against each other, rather than polishing one.
What Winning-Ad Remix does not do
Knowing the limits saves credits. The tool does not fetch ads from an ad library or a link, so you upload the screenshot or clip yourself. Video uploads are capped at 60 seconds, and a video remake is 4 to 15 seconds long. Each static render produces one ad in one size, and video remakes render at 720p. It does not add an avatar or voice-over script on its own, and it does not publish or run ads for you.

Frequently asked questions
Can AI recreate a competitor's ad?
Yes. VdoBloom Winning-Ad Remix takes a screenshot or a clip of up to 60 seconds, breaks it into format, hook, layout and pacing, and rebuilds that structure with your product photo and your offer. It does not copy the original brand, logo, people or wording.
Is the AI ad remix free?
Breaking down a static ad and adapting it to your product are free. Rendering the static remake costs 5 credits, so the 10 free signup credits cover two. Video breakdowns cost 10 credits and video remakes start at 66 credits for 4 seconds at 720p.
Does it work with video ads as well as image ads?
Yes. Static mode takes an ad screenshot and renders a new image ad. Video mode takes an MP4, MOV or WebM clip up to 60 seconds, maps its scenes and pacing, writes a timed shot prompt, and renders a 4 to 15 second remake with Seedance 2 at 720p.
Will the remake copy the other brand's logo or text?
No. The breakdown describes structure, not identity, and the remake is written only from your brief. The other advertiser's brand, logo, people, product and copy are left out.
Can I paste a link to an ad instead of uploading it?
No. The tool works from files you upload and never scrapes an ad library or a URL. Save a screenshot or download the clip you are allowed to use, then upload it.
What sizes can the static remake be?
You can render 4:5 for feeds, 9:16 for Stories and Reels, 1:1 square, or 1.91:1 for link ads. For more placements from the same creative, send the result to Ad Resize Pack.
Will the AI make up claims about my product?
It is told not to. Only facts you write in the brief may appear, and any number, percentage, result, rating, review or certification your brief does not state is rewritten out before the ad is rendered. Check the editable copy before you render.
Which AI models does the remake use?
Static remakes render with GPT Image 2.5 at 2K from your product photo. Video remakes use Seedance 2 at 720p with your product photo as the reference image. Video breakdowns use the same frame analysis as Video to Prompt.
Where do I find my remakes later?
Static remakes are saved in My Ads under Remix with their copy, ready to download, resize or translate. Video remakes appear in My Creations.
How is this different from just copying an ad?
Copying reuses someone else's creative. A remix keeps the reason the ad works, such as a before/after format or a question hook, and puts your product, your offer and your words into it. That is also why a remix is worth testing: the idea is proven, the ad is yours.
