How to Make 100 Ad Creatives With AI (and Test Them Properly)

Build 100 ad creatives from a hooks × formats × placements × languages matrix, with VdoBloom tools, real credit math and kill rules for testing.

By VdoBloom Team

You get to 100 ad creatives by multiplying a small number of decisions rather than writing 100 ads: roughly 30 core ideas (hooks and formats), each exported for the placements and languages you actually run. On VdoBloom that plan is 79 static ads and 21 videos for about 2,150 credits, built in two waves so most of the spend goes to variations of ads that have already won a test.

Updated October 2026.

Disclosure: VdoBloom is our platform.

The variation matrix: four axes, not 100 ideas

Every ad file is one point on four axes. Change one axis at a time and each new file answers a question. Change all four at once and you have 100 ads that teach you nothing.

Hooks and formats are where tests are won or lost. Placements and languages are cheap multipliers you apply only to proven ideas.

Why volume matters on Meta and TikTok

On both platforms the delivery system decides which ad in an ad set gets the spend, and with broad targeting the creative does much of the audience selection: different hooks and formats tend to find different people. Volume helps twice: you find the working hook sooner, and you have fresh variations ready when it tires.

Volume is not the goal on its own. One hundred near-identical files split the budget so thinly that none collects enough data to judge, so plan it in waves. If you only have one winning video and want to stretch it, start with our narrower guide on turning one video ad into 20 variations.

The tools and what each one actually produces

  • Ad Creative Pack: one product photo plus one line of brief gives you 6–9 static ad concepts per run, mixing native formats (phone note, text chat, review card, listicle, stat claim, before/after) with polished ones. Planning the concepts is free. Each concept × placement is rendered with GPT Image 2.5 at 5 credits, with the headline and CTA drawn into the image, and cropped to the exact Meta size: 4:5, 9:16, 1:1 or 1.91:1. The planner is told to use only facts from your brief, so it should not invent ratings, prices or review counts.
  • Ad Variants: pick up to 5 hooks from a library of 10 and it writes one video script per hook (free, rate-limited), in English, Hindi or Hinglish. You render each script with any image-to-video model and pay that model’s clip price. Seedance 2 Fast at 720p for 5 seconds is 50 credits.
  • UGC Ad Maker: from a real product photo it plans 1–5 short hooks plus one shared ~15-second body, then renders each variant as a voiced, captioned 9:16 b-roll ad. The product pixels in the stills come from your photo. It costs about 115 credits for the first variant and 113 for each one after, charged step by step, and a failed step is refunded.
  • Ad Resize Pack: one finished static ad re-laid out (not cropped) for 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 1.91:1 or 16:9 at 5 credits per size, or outpainted at 12 credits per size if the original pixels must stay untouched.
  • Ad Localizer: one finished ad image into up to 8 languages per run. Most languages cost 10 credits each. Bengali, Marathi and Japanese use Nano Banana Pro at 18 credits because GPT Image 2.5 garbled them in testing. Every output goes through a vision check for misspellings and changed prices. A language that fails twice is refunded.
  • End card: a logo, price and CTA frame used as the clip’s last frame, so the video lands on the offer. It is free, but only available on Seedance 2 and Seedance 2.5, not Seedance 2 Fast.
  • AI Captions: burned-in word captions at 2 credits per source minute, with a 4-credit minimum. A sub-minute ad costs 4.

A costed plan to 100 creatives

This plan uses one product, and prices come from VdoBloom’s live credit tables. Wave 1 is the test. Wave 2 only multiplies what won.

Wave 1 is 69 creatives for 1,337 credits; Wave 2 adds 31 for 810, all from tested ideas. At the Lite rate of $0.05 per credit that is roughly $107 in pay-as-you-go credits that never expire, so a postponed wave loses nothing. Each render shows its price first, and failed renders are refunded.

Statics only: three Creative Pack runs at 9 concepts × all 4 placements is 108 images for 540 credits, though that is 27 concepts, not 108 ideas.

How to test 100 creatives without wasting the budget

We don’t publish benchmark numbers here because good click and conversion rates differ too much by product, price and market. These rules depend on your own numbers.

  1. Fix everything except the creative. Use the same audience, offer, landing page and optimisation event. Our guide to testing AI video ads covers the one-variable-per-test discipline in more depth.
  2. Size the test from your target cost per acquisition (CPA). A variant can’t be judged until it has had the chance to convert. A workable rule of thumb is to give each variant about 1–2× your target CPA in spend. Then divide your test budget by that number to see how many variants you can test fairly. A $300 test with a $15 target CPA covers about 10 variants at 2× CPA each, not 69. Launch Wave 1 in batches.
  3. Test hooks first, in groups. Put concepts that share a hook or format in the same ad set, so you learn which angle wins and not just which file.
  4. Write the kill rules before launch. Pause a variant that has spent its 1–2× CPA allowance without a conversion. Pause one whose early attention metrics (hook rate, thumb-stop, click-through) trail the other variants in the same test after comparable impressions. Keep one that beats your control on the primary metric over the same window. Uneven spend between ads is normal, because the platform is already choosing.
  5. Promote, then multiply. Winners move to a scaling campaign, and only winners get Wave 2’s resizes, languages and end-card finals.
  6. Refresh before fatigue. When a winner’s cost climbs week over week, swap in its untested Wave 2 siblings before you write new ideas.

Limits to know before you start

  • Ad Variants and UGC Ad Maker each take at most 5 hooks per run. Larger hook sets mean more runs.
  • UGC Ad Maker is 9:16 voice-over b-roll. The person appears from the side, from behind or as hands only, so it won’t produce a talking-head presenter, and it has no music bed. Captions are burned only for Latin-script languages for now.
  • Text rendered inside images can still contain errors. Read every headline and price before upload, even after the Localizer’s automatic check.
  • The Resize Pack’s outpaint mode can’t make large shape changes; use re-layout. Check safe zones in our video ad specs guide.

Verdict by use case

  • Feed-first ecommerce brand: lead with the Ad Creative Pack. Statics are the cheapest way to find a winning angle, and then Resize and Localizer stretch it.
  • TikTok/Reels-first brand: lead with UGC Ad Maker and Ad Variants, test hooks on Seedance 2 Fast, and finish winners on Seedance 2 with an end card.
  • Multi-market seller: win in one language first, then run the Localizer on the winner. Don’t test 8 languages of an untested ad.
  • Small budget: run only Wave 1 in batches of what your CPA math allows. The credits you haven’t spent don’t expire. For hook ideas, see video ad hooks that stop the scroll.

FAQ

How much does it cost to make 100 ad creatives on VdoBloom?

The mixed plan above is 2,147 credits, and a statics-only plan of 108 images is 540 credits. Video length, resolution and model change the video lines, and you see the price before each render.

Are the scripts and ad plans charged?

No. Ad Creative Pack plans, Ad Variants scripts and UGC Ad Maker plans are free and rate-limited. You pay for the renders.

Can I translate video ads too?

The Ad Localizer works on images. For video, generate the UGC Ad Maker variant in the target language, which writes and voices the script in that language.
