Where to Use Google Gemini Omni Flash in 2026: Every Official and Third-Party Option

Gemini Omni Flash is a Google video model. Where to use it in 2026: Gemini app, Flow, AI Studio, YouTube Shorts, APIs and VdoBloom, with plans and limits.

By VdoBloom Team

You can use Google’s Gemini Omni Flash in six kinds of places: the Gemini app and Google Flow with a Google AI Plus, Pro or Ultra subscription; YouTube Shorts Remix and the YouTube Create app at no cost (18+); Google Vids on paid Workspace accounts; the Gemini API in Google AI Studio or the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform on a paid tier; and third-party platforms such as fal, Replicate, KIE, Higgsfield and VdoBloom. One point catches many people out: Gemini Omni Flash makes video only. It accepts images as input, but it does not output still images. Google’s image models are the Nano Banana family.

What Gemini Omni Flash is, and which version you are getting

Google announced Gemini Omni at I/O in May 2026 as an “any-to-any” model family. Gemini Omni Flash was the first model in it: it generates and edits video from a mix of text, images, video and voice references. Google’s own launch post says the family starts with video and that image and audio output will come later.

On August 27, 2026, Google released Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash (API id gemini-omni-1.1-flash). It added scene extension in 10-second steps up to 40 seconds of cumulative length, first- and last-frame control, a fast 360p draft tier, and 1080p and 4K upscaled output. Google’s developer docs list 3–10 second outputs at 24 fps. The earlier model is still listed in the API as gemini-omni-flash-preview.

Platforms label these differently. You will see “Omni Flash 1.1”, “Gemini Omni Flash 1.1” and “Gemini Omni 1.1”, and they all refer to Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash. Before you pay, check which version a platform runs, because only 1.1 has the 360p draft tier and first/last-frame control.

The official Google routes

Gemini app

This is the lowest-effort route. Describe a clip, or upload a photo, then refine it in conversation. Google lists video generation under AI Plus, Pro and Ultra, and its help pages say video uses the most of your plan’s usage. Google doesn’t publish exact daily video counts. With Omni 1.1, the app gained scene extension, so you can continue a clip in 10-second steps.

Google Flow

Flow is Google’s AI filmmaking studio, and it gives you more control over Omni than the Gemini app does. Here you build scenes, extend shots, and use first/last-frame control from 1.1. Generations spend Flow credits from your Google AI plan. Google says Flow features can vary by subscription, platform and region.

YouTube Shorts and YouTube Create

This is the only free official route. At I/O, YouTube launched Omni in Shorts Remix and the YouTube Create app at no cost for users 18 and older. It is built for remixing Shorts, not general production.

Google Vids

Since July 2026, Workspace customers with a paid account can generate Omni clips inside Vids. Admins control access.

Google AI Studio and the Gemini API

Developers can call gemini-omni-1.1-flash through the Gemini API, test it in AI Studio, or use the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform. Google’s pricing page lists Omni on the paid tier only. Output is billed per token, which Google estimates at about $0.10 per second of 720p video. Every output carries a SynthID watermark.

Third-party platforms

fal exposes both the original model and 1.1 as separate text-to-video, image-to-video, reference-to-video and edit endpoints. Its 1.1 pricing is per second of output and rises with resolution.

Replicate hosts google/gemini-omni-1.1, branded Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash. It supports text-to-video, image-to-video, keyframe interpolation and reference-to-video, from 360p to 4K in 16:9 or 9:16. The model page says every clip comes with a synchronized audio track.

KIE is an API reseller that lists both the original Gemini Omni and Omni 1.1 Flash. You choose 4, 6, 8 or 10 seconds, and you can add up to three character references and three voice presets.

Higgsfield added Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash on August 27, 2026, inside its creative suite. It is a strong choice if you also want Higgsfield’s presets and other models in the same place. Its plan names and prices have changed several times this year, so check its pricing page.

Pollo AI also has Gemini Omni Flash pages. When we checked, they carried a beta label and conflicting “coming soon” wording, so confirm it is live before you buy credits for it.

Using Gemini Omni on VdoBloom

VdoBloom puts Gemini Omni in the same picker as Kling, Seedance, Wan and Veo, paid for from one credit balance. You get four entries:

In the Gemini Omni settings you can save up to three characters from a reference photo and attach voices from 30 presets.

Gemini Omni on VdoBloom4s6s8s10s
360p (Flash 1.1 only) / 720p / 1080p36 credits48 credits60 credits72 credits
4K84 credits96 credits108 credits120 credits
Video-to-video (length set by source)96 credits at 720p/1080p, 143 at 4K

The limits are worth knowing up front. The cheapest Omni clip costs 36 credits, so the 10 free signup credits won’t cover one. On Flash 1.1, 360p costs the same as 1080p, so draft with short clips rather than low resolution. Clips top out at 10 seconds per generation, and Google’s content filters apply to prompts and uploads. What VdoBloom offers in return is no subscription requirement, credits that never expire (packs start at $10.39 for 200), and the price of each run shown before you generate. See the pricing page.

Verdict by use case

  • You want to try it for free: YouTube Shorts Remix or the YouTube Create app, if you are 18 or older.
  • You already pay for Google AI Pro or Ultra: Flow for shot-level control, or the Gemini app for quick conversational edits.
  • Your company runs on Workspace: Google Vids, so training and explainer clips stay inside your existing tools.
  • You are building a product: the Gemini API through AI Studio for first-party access, or fal or Replicate if you already use them for other models.
  • You use video occasionally and want several models without a subscription: VdoBloom. Credits don’t expire, and you can try the same idea on Omni, Kling or Seedance from one balance.
  • You want a preset-heavy creative suite: Higgsfield.

FAQ

Can Gemini Omni Flash generate images?

No. Google says the Omni family starts with video, and image output is planned for later. For still images, use Google’s Nano Banana models, which VdoBloom offers in its AI image generator.

Is Gemini Omni Flash free?

Only on YouTube Shorts Remix and the YouTube Create app, for users 18 and older. The Gemini API has no free tier for Omni, and Flow access comes with paid Google AI plans.

What is the difference between Gemini Omni Flash and Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash?

1.1 is the August 2026 update. It adds scene extension up to 40 seconds of cumulative length, first- and last-frame control, a 360p draft tier, and 1080p/4K upscaling.

Is Gemini Omni the same as Veo?

No. Omni is a separate model family. Veo 3.1 remains Google’s Veo line, and Omni 1.1 borrows some of Veo’s creative controls.

Do I need consent to animate a photo of a real person?

Yes. Get that person’s permission before you generate or publish a clip of them. Google’s filters may also block identifiable faces and public figures.
