Short answer

VdoBloom is the Pika alternative for anyone who wants their credits to keep: no subscription, one-time credits that never expire (Pika’s top-ups expire after 365 days and its plan credits do not roll over), 65+ models including Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 Omni and Veo 3.1, the cost shown before you generate and automatic refunds. Pika is the better choice if you want Pika’s own models and effects, unlimited parallel generation on Fancy, or its iOS app.

How Pika works and what it costs

Pika’s pricing page (pika.art/pricing, read on 17 October 2026) lists a Free plan at $0 with no monthly credits (“packs only”), and three subscriptions: Starter at $10 per month ($8 billed annually) with 900 credits, Creator at $35 ($28) with 3,150 credits, and Fancy from $95 ($76) with 8,550+ credits, scaling to larger Fancy tiers; an Enterprise tier is custom. The page states a rate of “60 credits per $1 on every plan”.

Credit terms are explicit: “Plan credits refresh each billing period and do not roll over”, while top-up packs — six sizes from 1,500 credits for $25 to 66,000 for $1,000 — “carry over and expire 365 days after purchase” and work only in Pika Create on pika.art, not the API, MCP or iOS app. Every listed plan says “No watermark.” A commercial licence is included on Creator, Fancy and Enterprise but not on Free or Starter; parallel video generations are 2 on Free and Starter, 8 on Creator and unlimited on Fancy, which also gets priority queue and early model access. Payments are stated to be non-refundable.

Do Pika credits expire?

Both kinds do, on different clocks. Pika’s page says plan credits “refresh each billing period and do not roll over”, so a quiet month on Starter or Creator is credits lost. Top-up packs are better — they carry over — but they “expire 365 days after purchase” and can only be spent in Pika Create on the website, not through the API, MCP or the iOS app.

VdoBloom’s one-time credits have no clock. A pack bought today is the same pack in two years, and the credits are refunded to your balance if a generation fails.

Is Pika free, and does it watermark?

Pika’s Free plan costs nothing but includes no monthly credits — the page says “packs only” — so a free account is a place to spend a top-up, not a free allowance. The good news is that every listed plan, Free included, says “No watermark.” The commercial licence, however, starts at Creator ($35 per month); Free and Starter output is not licensed for commercial use.

VdoBloom gives free starter credits at sign-up with no card, and paid output has no watermark whether you bought a pack or a plan.

Can I pay Pika in rupees or with UPI?

Pika’s pricing page lists USD prices and does not mention INR or UPI; it also states that payments are non-refundable. VdoBloom bills Indian users in rupees via Razorpay with UPI, cards and net banking; packs start at ₹299 for 75 credits and a Starter plan is ₹199 per month if you want one.

Which models does Pika offer, and what does VdoBloom have?

Pika’s page names Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Nano Banana 2 and GPT Image 2.5 alongside its own Pika models and effects. VdoBloom carries Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Nano Banana, GPT Image and 60+ more — Kling 3.0 Omni, Veo 3.1, Hailuo, Runway Gen-4.5, PixVerse, Vidu Q4 — each with its credit cost on its model page. Pika’s own models and Pikaffects are exclusive to Pika; VdoBloom’s 70+ one-click effect templates (kiss, hug, dance, fashion walk) are its equivalent for photo-based viral clips.

What about prompts that get refused?

Pika’s pricing page does not describe moderation, so we make no claim. On VdoBloom each model shows a content badge before you generate so you can choose a filter level that fits, and a job rejected by the provider after submission is refunded automatically.

What VdoBloom does differently

VdoBloom removes both of Pika’s clocks. There is no plan whose credits refresh and vanish, and no 365-day expiry on packs: one-time credits never expire, no subscription is required, the credit cost is printed on the generate button, and failed generations are refunded to your balance. Monthly plans exist for people who want them — Lite $15 ($10 billed yearly), Starter ₹199 in India — but the packs are the default.

The model picker holds 65+ video and image models — Seedance 2.5, Kling 3.0 Omni, Veo 3.1, Wan 3.0, Hailuo, Runway Gen-4.5, PixVerse, Vidu Q4 and the Nano Banana and Seedream image families — plus 70+ effect templates, image editing and text to speech. Indian users pay in rupees with UPI; everyone else in USD.

  • One-time credits that never expire — no 365-day clock
  • No subscription required
  • Credit cost shown before every generation
  • Failed generations refunded automatically
  • 65+ models in one wallet, 70+ effect templates
  • UPI and rupee billing in India

When Pika is the better choice

Pika is the better choice if you want Pika’s own models and Pikaffects, which exist only there; if you render in volume and need Fancy’s unlimited parallel generations and priority queue; or if you work from the iOS app. Its transparent “60 credits per $1” rate across plans and its watermark-free Free tier are also genuinely creator-friendly.

VdoBloom is the better choice if you want credits that never expire on any clock, no plan at all, Pika-class models alongside Kling, Veo and Wan, and rupee billing in India.
