Voice: text to speech and custom voices
For a narration, an ad read or a YouTube voiceover, paste the script into Text to Speech, pick a voice and generate. MiniMax Speech 2.8 has 26 voices; xAI TTS adds 6 expressive ones. Set the language when your script has names or mixes languages; the menu includes Hindi, Tamil, Spanish, French, Japanese and Arabic. The cost updates as you type, so a 1,000-character script is 8 credits on MiniMax.
If no stock voice fits, AI Voice Design builds one from words: “a warm, deep male narrator with a slight British accent, calm pace”. You hear a sample line, the voice is saved to your account, and you can then read any script in it. This is useful for a faceless channel that needs the same narrator every week, or for distinct character voices in a story. Voices come from your description only; uploading or cloning a real person’s voice is not supported.
Music: songs and instrumentals
Describe the genre, mood, tempo and instruments in the AI Music Generator, paste your own lyrics if you have them, and get a finished track as an MP3. MiniMax Music 2.6 (12 credits) makes complete songs and has an Instrumental switch for background music. ACE-Step (6 credits) lets you set the length from 30 to 300 seconds and the vocal language. Prices are flat per track, whatever the length.
Already have a song? Song Cover re-records a track you own in another genre, extends it, sings over your instrumental or builds a backing band under your vocal. And the Vocal Remover splits any song you have the rights to into vocals and instrumental, up to 12 stems, or a karaoke video with word-timed lyrics.
Sound effects: one-shots, loops and ambience
Type the sound you need into the AI Sound Effect Generator: “a heavy wooden door creaks open, then slams shut” or “gentle rain on a tin roof with distant thunder”. Short effect gives 1 to 10 second one-shots priced by length. Loops & ambience gives longer beds and seamless loops for 1 credit, with an optional BPM and key so they sit under your music. Limits to know
- No voice cloning of real people, and no “sing like” a named artist.
- Song Cover and Vocal Remover only work on music you own or have permission to use; you confirm it before each run.
- Text to Speech plays on every plan, but MP3 downloads need a paid plan or pack.
- Results vary between runs. Generate twice and keep the better take.
