What's Free in an AI Christmas Video Maker (Honest Limits 2026)
What you really get free from an AI Christmas video maker online in 2026: 10 signup credits, a daily check-in, a watermark on free downloads. Updated 31 October 2026.
Short answer: the VdoBloom AI Christmas video maker works online in your browser with no app and no subscription, and you can make your first Christmas video free. New accounts get 10 free credits, which is exactly one 5 second Runway Gen-3 clip at 720p (10 credits). After that, the daily check-in gives 2 to 5 credits a day (25 over a 7-day streak). Free downloads carry a VdoBloom watermark; any pack removes it. It is not unlimited, and no honest AI video maker is, because every clip costs real computing.

How to make a Christmas video online free: steps
- Sign up at VdoBloom. You get 10 credits.
- Open the AI Christmas video maker in your browser.
- Pick a one-photo template such as Cozy Fireplace or Christmas Market. See all 34 one-photo templates.
- Upload a clear, front-facing photo.
- Choose Runway Gen-3, 5 seconds, 720p, so it costs exactly 10 credits. Choose 9:16 for phones.
- Generate and download. The free download has a watermark.
- Come back daily to check in and save for the next clip.
Why isn't anything unlimited?
Every AI video is made on expensive graphics hardware, and the model makers charge per second of video. A site that says "unlimited free" usually means one of these: a slideshow with clip-art and no AI, a tiny low-resolution preview, a free trial that turns into a subscription, or a daily cap that is not mentioned until you hit it. VdoBloom shows the credit price before you click Generate, and you see the balance it will come from.
How to get the most from free credits
- Test on the cheapest setting. Runway Gen-3, 5 seconds, 720p is 10 credits. Only move to 10 seconds, 1080p or Kling 2.5 Turbo once you like the template.
- Use your best photo first. A sharp, front-facing photo in daylight avoids a wasted run.
- Keep the streak. The check-in pays more on later days of the week (up to 5 credits on day 7), so a missed day costs you.
- Invite one person. A referral gives you 10 credits, the same as a whole extra signup bonus, and gives your friend 10 too.
- Pick the right shape the first time. 9:16 for phones, 16:9 for a TV. Re-rendering for a new shape costs credits again.
What you get on a free video vs a paid one
| Free credits | After any purchase | |
|---|---|---|
| Templates | All 42 | All 42 |
| Models | Any, if your balance covers it | Any |
| Length | 5 or 10 s | 5 or 10 s |
| Download | Watermarked | No watermark |
| Credits | 10 signup + check-ins + referrals | Pack credits never expire |
The quality is the same: free credits run the same models as paid ones. The difference is how many credits you have and the watermark.
Is the watermark a problem?
For a family WhatsApp group, usually not. For a business promo or a card you want to print, you will want it removed. Any purchase removes the watermark from downloads. One-time packs start at $10.39 for 200 credits, or ₹299 for 75 credits in India. One-time credits never expire, so leftovers carry over to next Christmas. No subscription is needed.
Free alternatives and when they fit
- A still Christmas photo: the AI Christmas photo generator makes images, which cost fewer credits than video.
- A slideshow app: free and unlimited, but it is your photos with effects, not an AI scene that moves.
- A Christmas card from a photo: see AI Christmas card from photo.
