ByteDance V1 Pro Fast image-to-video costs 7 credits for a 5-second clip at 720p, 15 credits for either 10 seconds at 720p or 5 seconds at 1080p, and 29 credits for a 10-second 1080p clip. At the Lite plan rate of $0.05 per credit that is $0.35, $0.75 and $1.45 per finished clip. There are only four prices to learn, because the model exposes exactly two durations and two resolutions and nothing else that changes the bill.

Two things fall out of that grid. First, doubling the duration roughly doubles the price at both resolutions — there is no length discount worth planning around, and no length penalty either. Second, moving from 720p to 1080p at the same length is a little more than a doubling: 7 to 15 credits at 5 seconds, 15 to 29 at 10 seconds. Resolution, not duration, is the expensive decision here.

What changes the price, and what does not

Only two inputs move the number: duration and resolution. The API accepts a source image, an optional motion prompt, a duration of 5 or 10, and a resolution of 720p or 1080p. That is the whole surface. There is no aspect-ratio control — clips are recorded at 16:9 — no seed, no end-frame image, and no audio track, so none of those can quietly inflate a run. Prompt length does not affect cost either. Whatever you type, a 720p 5-second clip is 7 credits.

Failures do not cost you. The generation runs behind a refund wrapper: credits are deducted when the job is accepted and returned automatically if the render fails. Pick V1 Lite when you genuinely want the 480p draft tier at 4 credits, or when you need its extra controls: Lite accepts a seed, a camera-fixed toggle, and an end-frame image, none of which Pro Fast exposes.
