Consistent AI Characters Across Every Episode
Keep the same AI face and voice in every episode: character sheets, locked locations, last-frame starts, storyboards and locked voices, with real credit costs.
To make an AI series with the same characters in every episode, lock the references before you film: a character sheet or photo for each person (up to 4), an image for each place (up to 3), and a voice for each speaker. Then film in order, so each episode starts from the last frame of the one before, and check a storyboard before you pay for video. The VdoBloom AI Drama Series Generator does all of this for 3 to 10 episodes per season. The season plan is free, a storyboard is 5 credits, and an episode video starts at 16 credits (Seedance 2 Mini, 480p, 10 seconds). New accounts get 10 free credits, which covers sheets and a storyboard but not a full episode.
Quick answer: three steps
- Character references. Upload a photo or describe each character (face, hair, outfit). A generated sheet costs 5 credits; your own photo can be used as the reference directly.
- Series bible. Write the premise (up to 1,500 characters), pick a genre, a style and 3 to 10 episodes. The AI writes the season plan for free and you can edit it.
- Per-episode storyboard, then video. Review a 4, 6 or 9 panel grid (5 credits), redraw any wrong panel (5 credits), then film. Each episode starts from the last frame of the previous one.
Quick facts
- Episodes per season: 3 to 10. Episode lengths: 10, 15 or 30 seconds on Seedance models.
- Cast: up to 4 characters and up to 3 locations, reused in every episode.
- Formats: vertical 9:16 (default) or widescreen 16:9.
- Styles: realistic, anime, 3D animated, comic and kids cartoon.
- Spoken languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (Mandarin).
- Free parts: season plan, character voices from a description or a recording.
- Failed steps are refunded. One-time credit packs never expire. No subscription is required.
Why characters drift between clips
A video model makes each clip from what you give it in that moment: a prompt, and maybe an image. If episode 2 only has the text "Maya, a young chef", the model invents a new Maya. Her face, hair, clothes and even age can change. The same thing happens to places.
- Face drift. The character looks like a different person.
- Outfit drift. Clothes, colours or hair change between shots.
- Set drift. The location looks different every time.
- Voice drift. The character sounds like someone else in the next episode.
None of these is fixed by a better prompt alone. The fix is to give the model the same visual and audio references every time.
How do I keep the same actor face across AI video scenes?
Give every scene the same reference image of that actor. In the drama generator, each character is either:
- A photo you upload. It is used as the reference. Only upload people who agreed to it; the tool asks you to confirm consent.
- A text description turned into a character sheet for 5 credits. You can also build sheets on their own with the AI Character Sheet Generator.
Be specific. "Short black bob, round glasses, green apron over a white shirt" gives the model more to hold than "a chef". Include the outfit, because outfit drift is easy to miss until you watch episodes back to back.
The sheets go in with every episode, alongside the last frame of the previous episode. The sheet keeps the face right. The last frame keeps the scene connected. Anyone without a sheet is drawn fresh each time, so add recurring extras to the cast first.
Lock the locations
Each location gets a reference image for 5 credits, and that image goes into every episode set there. Keep the number of places small. A story set mostly in one kitchen and one street looks more like one show than a story with a new place in every scene.
Start each episode from the last frame
This is the strongest fix for continuity. Episode 3 starts from the last frame of episode 2, so lighting, positions, clothes and set carry over. Two rules follow: film episodes in order, and check the last frame before moving on, because a poor final frame becomes the next opening.
Review the storyboard before filming
Before each episode, the tool draws a grid: 4 panels for 10 seconds, 6 for 15 and 9 for 30. It costs 5 credits. Check that each panel has the right people, outfits and place. Redraw one wrong panel for 5 credits. You pay for the video only when the grid is right.
How do I add voices and dialogue to an AI drama series?
The AI writes the dialogue as part of the free season plan. Lines are at most 8 words, and about half the shots speak, which keeps lip-sync clean. You can edit every line.
Each character then gets a locked voice, free, in one of two ways:
- From a description, with 3 tries. Leave it blank and the voice is made from the character's description or photo.
- From a recording of 2 to 15 seconds, with the speaker's consent.
Up to 3 speaking characters per episode use their locked voice. Locked voices work on Seedance models; Wan 2.7 makes its own voices. Pick one spoken language for the whole season. For more detail, read how character voices work in a drama series, or try voices on their own in AI Voice Design.
How do I turn my novel chapter into an AI video?
A chapter is too long to film as written. Turn it into a premise first:
- Write who the leads are, what they want and what goes wrong, in a few sentences (the premise box takes up to 1,500 characters).
- Add the main characters to the cast with a description or a photo.
- Choose 3 to 10 episodes. The AI splits the story into episodes, each ending on a hook.
- Edit the plan so the key scenes from your chapter are the ones that get filmed.
A 15-second episode holds one scene, not a chapter. Expect a chapter to become several episodes. The full method is in script to vertical drama episodes.
How can I write and generate an AI drama episode from a story idea?
Start from one or two sentences. Pick a genre (romance, CEO drama, revenge, fantasy, comedy, thriller, kids, or your own words) and a template: Serial, where every episode ends on a cliffhanger, or 15-second Twist, where each episode is a self-contained story with a twist ending. The planner writes titles, summaries, shots and dialogue. Edit, lock the cast, then film episode 1.
How do I make an AI micro drama for Instagram?
Keep the default vertical 9:16 format. Use 15-second episodes for a fast hook, or 30 seconds for a fuller scene. Post episodes as a numbered series so viewers can follow. The Serial template is built for this: each episode ends on a hook and the next one picks up where it stopped. See how to make an AI micro drama series for a full walkthrough.
How do I make an AI soap opera with recurring characters?
A soap opera depends on the same faces coming back with the same relationships. Lock up to 4 main characters and up to 3 sets (a home, a workplace, a cafe). Use the romance, CEO drama or revenge genre, the Serial template, and up to 10 episodes per season. For the next season, start a new series with the same character photos or sheets. The comedy series with recurring characters guide shows the same idea for sitcoms.
How to make a multi-episode AI animated series for YouTube?
Choose an animated style: anime, 3D animated, comic or kids cartoon. Switch the canvas to widescreen 16:9 for YouTube. The kids genre keeps every episode gentle, with no peril and a cheerful hook. Each episode is one clip of 10 to 30 seconds, so a YouTube video is several episodes joined together, or a playlist of shorts.
What does a season cost, and can I make one free?
| Item | Credits |
|---|---|
| Season plan and dialogue | Free |
| Voice from a description or recording | Free |
| Character sheet | 5, or use your own photo |
| Location image | 5 |
| Storyboard grid / one redrawn panel | 5 / 5 |
| Episode video | From 16 (Seedance 2 Mini, 480p, 10 s) |
A fully free serial is not possible. The 10 free signup credits cover the plan, voices and one or two sheets or storyboards, so you can test the look before buying. One-time packs never expire, so you can make one episode a week without a subscription. Full budgets are in AI short drama cost per episode.
