Seedance 2.5 price: the full credit table, per second and per clip
Seedance 2.5 is one of the simpler models to budget for, because it has only two resolutions and bills linearly by the second. The whole price list is two rows: 9.2 credits per second at 480p, 20.0 credits per second at 720p. There is no audio surcharge, no aspect ratio multiplier and no per-clip base fee on top. The figure is also the same whether you generate from a prompt in Text to Video, from a photo in Image to Video, or from a preset on the Seedance Effects tab.
It is also, at 20 credits per second at 720p, the top of VdoBloom's per-second range. Kling V3 Turbo is 7.2 credits per second at the same resolution and Seedance 1.5 Pro is 1.5. You are paying for the 30-second ceiling, and you pay it on every second whether you use the range or not.
One thing worth saying plainly before the table: the 10 free credits a new account starts with will not run a Seedance 2.5 job. The cheapest configuration is 4 seconds at 480p for 37 credits. There is no shorter option and no lower resolution, so this is not a model you can sample for free.
What this tool does
- Seedance 2.5 is billed linearly per second: 9.2 credits per second at 480p and 20.0 at 720p, with no audio surcharge and no aspect-ratio multiplier.
- Seedance 2.5 at 480p: 4s = 37 credits, 5s = 46, 10s = 92, 15s = 138, 20s = 184, 30s = 276.
- Seedance 2.5 at 720p: 4s = 80 credits, 5s = 100, 10s = 200, 15s = 300, 20s = 400, 30s = 600.
- The cheapest possible Seedance 2.5 render is 37 credits — 4 seconds at 480p. The model has no shorter duration and no lower resolution.
- The price does not change with the tab. The same model, duration and resolution cost the same in Text to Video, Image to Video and Seedance Effects — only the model, the length and the resolution move the number.
- 720p costs roughly 2.2 times 480p for the same length, so every take you discard during a 480p draft pass costs less than half what it would at 720p.
- A new VdoBloom account's 10 free signup credits do not cover any Seedance 2.5 job — the 37-credit minimum is nearly four times that balance.
- Seedance 2 is cheaper than Seedance 2.5 at every configuration the two share: 5 seconds at 720p is 82 credits versus 100, and 15 seconds at 720p is 244 versus 300.
- At 720p, Seedance 2.5's 20.0 credits per second is the highest per-second rate on VdoBloom's video roster — Kling V3 Turbo is 7.2 and Seedance 1.5 Pro is 1.5 at the same resolution.
- A cheaper Seedance 2.5 tier exists only when a reference video is supplied — 6.8 credits/sec at 480p and 15.2 at 720p, billed on input plus output duration. Uploading a photo does not trigger it, so an ordinary prompt or photo job is billed at the standard rates.
How it works
1.Fix the resolution first — it is a 2.2x switch
480p is 9.2 credits per second and 720p is 20.0. Every other decision on this page is smaller than that one. Decide whether the clip ships at 480p or 720p before you compare anything else, because a 30-second 480p clip (276) costs less than a 15-second 720p clip (300).
2.Multiply by the duration you actually need
The rate is flat across the whole 4-to-30-second range, so there is no discount for going long and no penalty either. Ten seconds at 480p is 92 credits, twenty is 184, thirty is 276. At 720p the same lengths are 200, 400 and 600. Pick the shortest length the edit can use.
3.Draft at 480p, deliver at 720p
A worked example: five 8-second concepts at 480p cost 74 credits each, 370 in total, then one approved 8-second re-render at 720p costs 160 — 530 credits altogether. Running all five concepts at 720p from the start would have cost 800. The draft pass saves 270 credits and gets you the same final clip.
4.Sanity-check against the alternatives before you commit
If the clip is 15 seconds or shorter, Seedance 2 renders it cheaper at both shared resolutions — 244 credits for 15 seconds at 720p against 300. If you do not need Seedance's look at all, Kling V3 Turbo runs 3-15 seconds at 7.2 credits per second at 720p. Only pay Seedance 2.5's rate when the 30-second ceiling is the reason you are there.
5.Top up before you start, and know what a failure costs
Because the minimum job is 37 credits and a new account holds 10, plan the balance before you open the tab. Credits are deducted when the job is submitted and refunded automatically if the generation fails, so a failed render does not cost you the clip's price — but an unsatisfying successful render does.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Seedance 2.5 cost?
9.2 credits per second at 480p and 20.0 credits per second at 720p, billed linearly with no base fee. That makes 5 seconds cost 46 credits at 480p or 100 at 720p, 15 seconds cost 138 or 300, and the maximum 30 seconds cost 276 or 600.
What is the cheapest Seedance 2.5 video I can make?
37 credits, for 4 seconds at 480p. Four seconds is the model's minimum duration and 480p is its lowest resolution, so nothing goes below that. At 720p the equivalent floor is 80 credits.
Can I run Seedance 2.5 on free credits?
No. A new VdoBloom account starts with 10 credits and the cheapest Seedance 2.5 render is 37, so a top-up is required before your first job on this model. If you want to spend the free balance on video, a Runway Gen-3 720p 5-second clip costs 10 credits and a Grok Imagine Video 480p 5-second clip costs 8.
Does the price change depending on which tab I use?
No. Seedance 2.5 costs the same from a written prompt in Text to Video, from a photo in Image to Video and from a preset on the Seedance Effects tab. The credit cost is computed from the model, the duration and the resolution only, so a 10-second 480p clip is 92 credits in all three.
Does audio cost extra on Seedance 2.5?
No. Seedance 2.5 generates native audio and the flag is on by default, but the credit price is identical either way. This differs from Seedance 1.5 Pro, where enabling audio doubles the per-second rate, and from Kling 3.0, where sound is a priced toggle.
Why is Seedance 2.5 more expensive than Seedance 2?
You are paying for the duration ceiling. Seedance 2 works out to roughly 7.6 credits per second at 480p and 16.3 at 720p; Seedance 2.5 charges 9.2 and 20.0 for the same resolutions. The premium is about 20 to 23 percent per second, and it buys the ability to run past 15 seconds — which Seedance 2 cannot do at any price.
What happens to my credits if the generation fails?
They are returned. Credits are deducted when the job is submitted and refunded automatically when a generation errors out, so a failed Seedance 2.5 render leaves your balance where it started. Successful renders you simply do not like are not refunded, which is the argument for a 480p draft pass.
Is there a cheaper way to get a Seedance clip?
Yes, three of them. Seedance 2 is cheaper at every length up to 15 seconds. Seedance 2 Fast is 40 credits for 4 seconds at 720p against 80 on Seedance 2.5, and Seedance 2 Mini is cheaper still — both are on a limited-time 25% discount that ends 7 September 2026. And if the Seedance look matters more than the version number, Seedance 1.5 Pro is 1.5 credits per second at 720p in the same Text to Video and Image to Video tabs where 2.5 is selectable.
