Where to Use Seedance 2.0, 2 Fast and 2 Mini in 2026
Where you can access Seedance 2.0, 2 Fast and 2 Mini today: ByteDance apps, APIs and creator platforms compared on variants, resolution, length and pricing.
You can use Seedance 2.0 in ByteDance’s own Dreamina app (CapCut’s AI studio), through the BytePlus ModelArk API, through developer APIs such as fal, Replicate and KIE, and on creator platforms including Higgsfield, Runway and VdoBloom. They differ in which variants they carry. VdoBloom has all three (Seedance 2, 2 Fast and 2 Mini) plus Seedance 2.5 on one credit balance, with 4K on Seedance 2 and every clip length from 4 to 15 seconds. If you just want to make videos, start with an app. If you’re building a product, use an API.

The Seedance 2.0 family in one paragraph
ByteDance ships Seedance 2.0 in three sizes. The standard model is the quality tier and the only one that goes past 720p. On some platforms it reaches 1080p and 4K. Seedance 2.0 Fast keeps the same inputs (text, a first frame, reference images or video) and the same 4–15 second range, but tops out at 720p and returns results sooner. Seedance 2.0 Mini is the low-cost tier, also capped at 720p. It launched in mid-June 2026, first in ByteDance’s own apps. Seedance 2.5 is the next generation, built for longer takes. It has its own guide: where to use Seedance 2.5.
Where Seedance 2.0 is available: platform by platform
Every row below comes from that platform’s own site or docs, checked on 19 October 2026. Where a vendor doesn’t publish a clear figure we say so rather than guess, so confirm on its pricing page before you buy.

- Dreamina is ByteDance’s own app, so new features tend to appear there first. Its Seedance page lists 2.0, 2.0 Mini and a separate 2.0 4K option. We couldn’t find a Fast option on that page. Regional availability and face-upload rules depend on your plan and country.
- BytePlus ModelArk is the official enterprise API. Its model-release docs list
dreamina-seedance-2-0anddreamina-seedance-2-0-fast. Billing is by token rather than by clip, which suits engineers better than creators. - Higgsfield and Runway are creator suites with editing tools around the model. Their strengths are workflow: shot chaining on Higgsfield, post-production tools on Runway. Which Seedance tiers you get depends on your plan, so check each plan’s model list.
- fal, Replicate and KIE are developer APIs. You pay only for what you generate, but you’ll need code or a playground.
What each variant costs on VdoBloom
These are the exact figures from our credit table for text-to-video and image-to-video. Aspect ratio never changes the price. One credit is $0.05 at the Lite plan rate ($15 for 300 credits).

If you add a reference video, a lower per-second rate applies on Fast, Mini and 2.5, and on Seedance 2 at 4K. But the seconds of your reference clip are billed as well as the output. A short, trimmed reference saves credits; a long one can cost more than a plain render. The exact cost for your settings is shown before you press generate, and that’s what gets charged. Failed renders are refunded automatically. The per-second tables for each model are in our Seedance 2 pricing, 2 Fast pricing and 2 Mini pricing guides.
2 vs 2 Fast vs 2 Mini vs 2.5: which one to pick
Seedance 2 Mini is for finding the shot. At 7–8 credits for a short 480p draft, you can try fifteen prompt phrasings for the cost of one Fast 720p clip. Busy scenes (hands, hair, crowds, fast camera moves) show its limits first. Use it for drafts, animatics and social b-roll that gets recompressed anyway.
Seedance 2 Fast is for 720p clips you might actually post. It has the same lengths and all six aspect ratios as the flagship (16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 3:4, 9:16, 21:9), with steadier motion and faces than Mini. Choose it when 720p is your delivery size and the clip will be watched full screen.
Seedance 2 is for finals above 720p. It’s the only one of the three with 1080p and 4K. 4K earns its 832 credits per 10 seconds when the clip will be shown large, graded or cropped in the edit. For a phone feed, 1080p is usually the better buy.
Seedance 2.5 is for anything longer than 15 seconds in one take. It runs 4–30 seconds at up to 1080p and costs more per second. It has no 4K tier. The Seedance 2.5 access guide covers where else it runs.
The models share durations, aspect ratios and prompt style, so a cheap workflow is: explore on Mini at 480p, confirm the winning prompt on Fast at 720p, then render the final once on Seedance 2 at the resolution the brief needs.
Honest limits on VdoBloom
- The 10 free signup credits cover one Mini clip at 480p (up to 6 seconds). They don’t cover the cheapest Fast (19 credits) or Seedance 2 (31 credits) render. Plan on a small top-up. One-time packs start at $10.39 for 200 credits and never expire.
- Fast and Mini stop at 720p, and the whole 2.0 family stops at 15 seconds. That’s the model’s limit, not ours, and it’s the same on every platform.
- In image-to-video, the photo you upload becomes the first frame, so its shape sets the output shape. Crop before you upload.
- Animating a photo of a real person requires that person’s consent.
Verdict by use case
- You want ByteDance’s own app and free daily credits: Dreamina.
- You’re building a product and want the official API: BytePlus ModelArk. For quick pay-per-use prototyping, fal or KIE.
- You already edit in Runway or Higgsfield: use Seedance there, if your plan includes the tier you need.
- You want all three 2.0 sizes plus 2.5 and other video models without a subscription: VdoBloom. Credits are pay-as-you-go, never expire, and work across text-to-video, image-to-video and the Seedance effect templates.
- You need 4K from the 2.0 family: pick a platform that exposes the standard model’s 4K tier. Dreamina, Higgsfield, KIE and VdoBloom all list one.
For ready-made prompts that suit the whole family, see the Seedance prompt library. Plans and packs are on the pricing page.
FAQ
Where can I use Seedance 2.0 for free?
Dreamina offers free daily credits, KIE gives new API users 80 trial credits, and VdoBloom gives new accounts 10 credits with no card. On VdoBloom that’s enough for a short 480p Seedance 2 Mini clip. Free allowances change, so check each site.
Is Seedance 2.0 Mini available outside ByteDance apps?
Yes. Mini launched in mid-June 2026 in ByteDance’s apps and has since appeared on third-party platforms. On VdoBloom it’s in the same picker as Seedance 2 and 2 Fast, at 480p and 720p, 4–15 seconds.
Which platforms offer Seedance 2.0 in 4K?
Only the standard model has a 4K tier. Fast and Mini stop at 720p. Dreamina, Higgsfield, KIE and VdoBloom list 4K for Seedance 2.0. On VdoBloom a 4K clip costs 333 credits for 4 seconds and up to 1,248 credits for 15.
What is the longest Seedance 2.0 clip?
15 seconds per generation, on every platform. For a longer single take, use Seedance 2.5, which runs to 30 seconds.
Should I use Seedance 2 Fast or Mini?
Both stop at 720p and 15 seconds. Mini costs about a third as much and suits drafts. Fast holds motion and faces better on clips people will watch closely. Our Fast vs Mini comparison has the full credit table.
